The Surface Technical Advisor will be responsible of reviewing, analyzing and solving complex issues that are related to rotating, process and instrumentation equipment’s, possessing strong theoretical knowledge on various field departments, continuously capable of providing a higher level of technical expertise and process knowledge. Also will be responsible for reviewing production process upsets issues and failures and from his expertise and background provide conventional recommendations as well as ideas to enhance the reliability of Oman North Business Unit assets.
The Surface Technical Advisor responsibilities include but not limited to:
Review all technical original equipment manufacturer (OEM) manuals and propose to operation team members on their technical content.
Review and interpret rotating (driven / driver) and static equipment’s specifications, codes, standards, & regulations, as well as attend HAZOP, design review, PSSR and MEI meetings to determine scope of work and required contents of Sub surface equipment’s within Oman North Business Unit.
Develop startup procedures, startup schedules, and site-specific startup documentation within Oman North Business Unit.
Ensure the correct installation, pre-commissioning, commissioning and maintenance equipment’s philosophy are implemented.
Address the activities requirements during performance testing, emissions testing, and reliability testing.
Manage deficiency identification and plan as required by Oman North Business Unit to support operation, process, maintenance and instrumentation.
Provide support to Oman North Business Unit in the interpretation and implementation of all elements of the spare parts management for critical and high value equipment’s.
Review production vessels control logic and propose as well as implementing improvements to maximize outputs.
Train and coach young Omani’s on Operation, Process, Maintenance and Instrumentation.
Develop, and execute standard and custom training programs on rotating (driven / driver) and static equipment’s (Sub surface equipment’s), for all operational internal field services personnel within Oman North Business Unit.
