• Ability to work efficiently within a multi-disciplinary team.
• Preparation of new development wells picking; prepares well
picking material, geological prognosis, well design including well
trajectory and requirements for wells data in well planning &
preparing and follow up well proposals up to the final approval from
Shareholders. • Share knowledge in integrated studies, assessments,
drilling and logging activities, in order to optimize field production.
• Working with team (including all disciplines) in optimizing
drilling sequence, data gathering, cost cut, production/well
optimization sessions. Participate in the evaluation of high ranked
wells & priority to be picked in different aspects. Participate in
the review & finding out the slots for the next 5 years well plan.
• Supervision & co-ordination of all aspects of wellsite
geological operation to ensure well objectives are safely met, manage
& provide support to Wellsite Geologist, including quick-look
interpretation of geological & formation evaluation data. •
Knowledge of using Petrel software for well planning and modeling will
be an extra advantage. • Provide input for tendering &
contracts preparation when required, with a focus on formation
evaluation services (eg: LWD & wireline logging, mudlogging, coring,
core analysis, sample analysis etc). • Liaise with &
co-ordinate, geological formation evaluation contractors, in discussion
with rest of the Operations Team; includes service call-out, invoice
checking & service quality reviews etc, responsible for receiving
& handling all geological well data, logs & reports. •
Assist in peer reviews & lessons learnt meetings for drilling
projects and preparation. • Delivery of G&G part of final well
report (includes learnt point and future plan). • Undertakes the
training of Omani nationals trainee as directed by Managemt
المهارات المطلوبة
MINIMUM ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS: • B.Sc. in Geology is essential
MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:. • 4-6 Years’ experience in
production geology post.
