الوصف الوظيفي

• Manages the activities of the contractors at the drilling site. Performs supervisory functions and exercises financial authority at the level established by Senior Management for this position.
• Reviews the assigned drilling plan in detail and discusses with Well Engineer Team Leader. Develops a complete personal understanding of the drilling plan and understands the plan in detail and completely. Verifies if required any aspects of the plan with the Well Engineer Team Leader and recommends technical changes where deemed necessary and prepares for the site start up.
• Ensures that all precautions are taken to ensure the Safety Environmental and Health policies and regulations are covered on the drilling site. Understand the hazards associated with the task involved and implement controls in consultation with supervisors. Participate in all HSE Programs as and when called for
• Reviews the field drilling data and relates to experience of drilling similar well types. Liaises with the contractors and issues work directions and instructions to drilling contractor, mud contractor, directional drilling contractors and well logging contractor and other site contractors as required to ensure that the drilling program is completed on time and in budget and in a safe manner. Ensures that logistics of contractors are well planned and sound and appropriate for the task in hand.
• Stays abreast of current developments in the oil drilling industry to ensure the use of latest techniques and technology are available to the Company as required.
• Verifies that the performance of the site contractors is as per the contractual arrangements and that time keeping, job tickets are kept up to date and accurately reflect the performance on site. Checks and monitors that the site contractors are adequately equipped and have scheduled the resourcing of their obligations adequately.
• Works inside the recognized policies practices and established methodologies of drilling in Oman to ensure smooth transition of the drilling program from start up to completion.
• Reports on regular basis to Well Engineer Team Leader progress and ensures the OPENWELL receives all collected data on a daily basis as required. Update End of Well Report in Daily Basis.
• Develops the Company staff as directed. Undertakes the training of Omani nationals as directed by Management.

Minimum Academic Qualifications:
Bachelor degree in Engineering
Minimum Work experience:
More than 10 years in drilling engineering operations.
