الوصف الوظيفي

• Provide effective and timely support to the Appraisal Team.
• Continue to develop knowledge, skills and expertise in geophysical subsurface interpretation techniques.
• Identify and develop one to two new areas of expertise (seismic processing, seismic acquisition, potential field data acquisition and processing, geological well operations, basic well log analysis, etc.) per year through daily work and formal training programs.
• Accurate and timely archive G&G data in CCED’s file room and digital database, as directed by the Appraisal Manager.
• Prepare appraisal well proposals in close collaboration with technical professionals in the Exploration, Subsurface Department and Geological Operations Team.
• Complete 3D seismic interpretations with guidance from senior technical staff on the Appraisal Team.
• Complete fault seal analysis for appraisal and development prospect assessments, as directed by the Appraisal Manager.

المهارات المطلوبة

• Degree(s): BSC in Geology or Geophysics. MSc in Geology or Geophysics is preferred.
• Years of Industry Experience: > 5 years of relevant industry experience.
• Relevant Work Experience: Development geophysicist with an E&P company, seismic processing geophysicist with a service company or G&G Applications Specialist (Landmark, Schlumberger, etc.).
• Expatriate/Omani: Omani
• Permanent/Part Time: Permanent
• Language Skills Requirements: Proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Professional Skills: Stable, mature organized and able to handle multiple projects effectively. Thoroughness and attention to detail is essential. Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills are also essential. Candidate must be a self-starter that has a positive and “can-do” attitude.
• IT Skills & Expertise Requirements: Very strong computer skills, including building and maintaining spreadsheets, development and interrogations of databases. Data management, including accessing cataloging and archiving diverse data types.
