The Project Delivery (PD) Organization was formed with the aim of being a center of excellence for all project delivery in PDO; enhancing standardization, repeatability and dissemination of lessons learned across projects as well as the application of best practices.
The incumbent shall provide Technical Safety Engineering (TSE) support to PDO projects, ranging from Select to Operations including managing TSE consultants and its interface with key HSE stakeholders. The incumbent will be responsible for all TSE related technical & assurance support like document reviews, TSE workshops facilitation (HAZID, HFE, DEM1, DEM2, ALARP, etc), technical clarifications/justifications, compliance to standards (SPs, PRs, DEM1, DEM2), participation in assurance activities like PSUAs, VARs etc.
The purpose of this job is to ensure HSE risks are managed to ALARP for PDO's projects portfolio. The incumbent shall be providing Technical Safety and Process Safety advice to projects and contractor organizations.

University degree in engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Mining, Fire, Safety or equivalent).
A minimum of 10 years of experience in production or engineering of oil and gas facilities, including a minimum of 4 years of experience in Technical Safety Engineering/Process Safety.
Knowledge of Physical Effects Modelling and Quantitative Risk Assessment, experience with Shell FRED and SHEPHERD software is preferred.
Able to facilitate Technical safety Engineering workshops. These may include HAZID, Bow-Ties, ALARP, SIMOPs, and Facility Layout and Siting. Knowledge of HAZOP and SIL classification.
Developing ALARP demonstrations for Technical/Process Safety risks and developing HSE Cases.
Knowledge of Shell standards and guidelines, including Sour Gas design and operations standards and guidelines.
Experience with project tech safety management implementation. Previous project experience is expected.
Knowledge of Fire Protection standards and guidelines.
Effective communicator who can influence key stakeholders.
Proven coaching and mentoring skills for graduate and young engineers
