Job Title:Instrument Technician,Department:Maintenance Department,Job Purpose:Provides technical expertise pertaining to Instrumentation Services NGLE under Engineer instrument Services' scope, as focal point of contact for contractors or suppliers; by (1) Performing & Oversee Operations and Maintenance of all Instrument & Control Equipment and Related Systems at Gas Supply Stations, Pressure Limiting Stations, Fiscal metering station, Analyzer house, Compressor Stations, and Any Such Rotating Or Static Equipment Located Along The Pipeline, (2) Provides Support For The Engineer Instrument and Sr. Engineer Electrical, Instrument & Control, (3) Performing a routine maintenance, installation and repairs to a variety of Instruments (electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical) in NGLE both on site and in the Instrument Workshop; in order to ensure that all temporary & permanent solutions are being planned & executed in coordination with execution teams for the Inspection generated work requests.
Technician instrument position will act in accordance with NGLEs' values & strategies, policies, guidelines, technology platform, HSE standards, Omani's government & other legal justification's, and best international practices in consonance with national objectives and Ethics standards.
,Roles and Responsibilities:Deliverables
- Conduct regular inspections and prepare reports in accordance with GTF Instrumentation inspection cycles and procedures.
- Carryout Instrumentation related operations and maintenance activities in all static and rotating equipment's
- Perform Instrumentation related operations and maintenance activities as directed by the Engineer Instrument and/ or Senior Engineer Electrical instrument & Control.
- Trouble shoot and rectify Instrumentation and Control related faults within reasonable time frame to ensure maximum availability of equipment's
- Shall be familiar with operation & maintenance, trouble shooting of DCS/FCS systems, Safeguarding systems, F & G Systems, Odorizing systems, Flow metering systems, Gas turbine control systems, Compressor control systems and other process control related instrumentations.
- Ensure all Instrumentation equipment's are functioning within the designed parameters.
- Attend callouts as required.
- Help ensure public safety and gas deliverability by maintaining the functionality and integrity of facilities and related Instrument equipment.
- Assist with the overseeing of any sub-contractors personnel working on the terminal facilities associated with the Instrument and control equipment.
- Maintain tools and equipment in fully working order.
- Prepare Permit to Work for Engineer Instrument approval and perform operations and maintenance activities in accordance with established company Quality Systems and manufacturers' practices and procedures.
- Complete all necessary documents, forms, checklists and documentation as required prior to, during and subsequent to operations and maintenance activities.
- Assist with the updating of records, system drawings and operations and maintenance databases.
- Communicate closely with the Engineer Instrument regarding work planned at a facility prior to accessing the facility and any work being executed.
- Support the Engineer Instrument and Senior Engineer Electrical instrument & Control.
المهارات المطلوبة
Knowledge Experience & Qualifications:
- Minimum qualifications for this position is a Diploma in Instrument, Technology or similar equivalent qualifications.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in Oil and Gas Instrument and Control Maintenance activities. Minimum years of relevant experience is 2 years in a similar role.
- Knowledge of refinery and petrochemical plants operation.
- Experience in workshop testing and repair techniques.
Skills:
- Work well in a team environment.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong, positive attitude towards Health, Safety and Environment policies and programs.
- Developed language skills in written and spoken English.
- PC literate.
- Arabic language skills will be an asset.
- Possess a valid Omani driver's license.
