Job Title:Electrical Technician,Department:Maintenance Department,Job Purpose:Provides technical expertise pertaining to Electrical Services NGLE under Engineer Electrical Services' scope, as focal point of contact for contractors or suppliers; by (1) Performing & Oversee Operations and Maintenance of all electrical and related systems at Gas Supply Stations, Pressure Limiting Stations, Compressor Stations and any such rotating or static equipment located along the pipeline, (2) Provide support for the Engineer Electrical and Senior Engineer Electrical, Instrument & Control (3) performing preventive, corrective and annual maintenance to electrical installations, lighting & HVAC systems and repair of motors shifted to workshop, while observing safety rules and contributing in the achievement of KPIs; in order to ensure that all temporary & permanent solutions are being planned & executed in coordination with execution teams for the Inspection generated work requests.
Technician Electrical position will act in accordance with NGLEs' values & strategies, policies, guidelines, technology platform, HSE standards, Omani's government & other legal justification's, and best international practices in consonance with national objectives and Ethics standards.
,Roles and Responsibilities:- Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with Electrical inspection cycles and procedures.
- Carry out electrical related operations and maintenance activities in all static and rotating equipment.
- Perform electrical related operations and maintenance activities as directed by the Senior Electrical Technician and/or Maintenance Supervisor.
- Troubleshoot and rectify electrical related faults within reasonable timeframes to ensure maximum availability of equipment.
- Be familiar with operations and maintenance, troubleshooting of motors, UPS, rectifiers, fans, transformers, HV and LV switchboards, earthing systems, lighting systems, process gas heaters and other GTF related electrical equipment.
- Carry out LV isolations/de-isolations as required in accordance with approved QHSE procedures.
- Ensure all electrical equipment is functioning within the designed parameters.
- Attend callouts as required.
- Help ensure public safety and gas deliverability by maintaining the functionality and integrity of facilities and related electrical equipment.
- Assist with the overseeing of any sub-contractor personnel working on terminal facilities associated with electrical equipment.
- Ensure operations and maintenance activities are performed in accordance with established company quality system procedures, HSE codes and standards, as well as industry standards.
- Maintain tools and equipment are in good condition and calibrated if required.
- Prepare Permits to Work for approvals, and perform operations and maintenance activities in accordance with established company quality systems and manufacturer practices and procedures.
- Prepare related electrical certificates for approval and assist in overseeing all on-plot work and any sub-contractor activities in accordance with established company and sub-contract procedures.
- Complete all necessary documents, forms, checklists and documentation as required prior to, during and following operations and maintenance activities.
- Assist with the updating of records, system drawings and operations and maintenance databases.
- Communicate closely with the Senior Electrical Technician regarding work planned at a facility prior to accessing the facility and any work being executed.
- Support the Senior Electrical Technician and Maintenance Supervisor in their duties.
- Implement and adhere to quality and HSE programs in accordance with company policies and terminal maintenance activities.
- Provide support for any emergency response.
- Adherence to all statutory requirements pertaining to HSE, and the HSE standards and specifications of OGC.
- Implementation of all quality and HSE requirements under your area of jurisdiction.
- Ability to learn and to work with SAP (Computer Maintenance Management System).
- Actively seeks out personal training needs
المهارات المطلوبة
Qualifications:
Diploma in Electrical Engineering or other related field of study.
Experience:
- At least 3-5 years of experience related to Electrical Maintenance in the Oil & Gas Industry. Minimal years of relevant experience is 2 years in a Technician- Electrical role.
- Minimum Qualifications for this position is Diploma in Technology or similar.
- Knowledge of High Voltage and Low Voltage equipment.
- Experience in in electrical motors overhauling and lighting network.
- Using the testing and measuring instruments.
- Experience in HVAC systems, (If responsible for HVAC).
- Experienced in troubleshooting of the over-current and under-voltage protection devices, as well as circuit breakers, and different type of fuses
- Testing of Portable electrical equipment.
General Skills:
- Should be a competent electrical person as minimum requirement. AEP Certification will be an asset.
- Must be a team player.
- Excellent interpersonal skills; verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong, positive attitude towards health, safety and environmental policies and programs.
- Developed language skills in written and spoken English. Arabic language skills will be an asset.
- Demonstrated basic skills in computer soft skill programs, like word, excel, .etc.
- Understanding wiring diagrams.
- Troubleshooting electrical systems.
- Possess a valid Omani driver's license.
