Job Title:Construction Engineer,Department:Engineering,Job Purpose:Assist Construction Manager for delivering all project construction activities in compliance to the project schedule/budget and ensuring best work practices are followed in terms of safety and quality with continual improvement. Ensure safe and timely execution of construction works of projects, in adherence to the Project HSE targets and work procedures.,Roles and Responsibilities:1. Supervise and support day-to-day construction activities of various projects like Cross-country gas pipelines, Compressor Stations and other Hydrocarbon facilities in full compliance to the applicable Design, Company procedures and technical specifications to ascertain that the newly constructed facility is trouble free during commissioning. 2. Be familiar with the relevant parts of contract documents covering the construction requirements and assist during constructability reviews. 3. Review the EPC contractor's construction plans/schedules and method statements/work procedures during construction phase and voice the concern in case of slippages. Guide the contractor to manage the issues suitably to ensure project is back on track. 4. Review the contractor's progress reporting for the assigned projects and provide standard report format to Construction Manager. 5. Conduct/participate in the weekly construction review meetings, Interface meetings (as applicable) and resolve the site constructability issues as they arise. 6. Ensure that the construction team at site works within the company's PTW system by following the HEMP & work method statements. 7. Actively participate during technical and QHSE audits to monitor conformance and expedite the contractor to initiate necessary corrective actions on vital audit observations and non-compliances identified. 8. Involve in all HSE and sustainability issues related to project implementation activities to eliminate associated hazards that may adversely affect the environment or safety or health of employees. 9. Engage with Commissioning, Operations & Turn over team for the systemization, flawless start-up and smooth hand over of the project. 10. Coordinate with the project expeditors to ensure timely delivery of discipline project items in support of construction activities and schedule. 11. Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate
