الوصف الوظيفي

The Senior Instrument Technician will be responsible for maintenance and calibration of all instrumentation in Oman North fields. Responsibilities will include calibration of end devices including transmitters, control valves, and limit switches, maintenance of programmable logic controller (PLC) software, maintenance of fire protection and safeguarding systems, and training and mentoring of less experienced Omani instrument technicians.
 
The Senior Instrument Technician responsibilities include but not limited to:
  • Calibrations of end devices including transmitters, limit switches, and control valves.
  • Identification and diagnosis of control system failures.
  • Maintenance of programmable logic controller (PLC) software.
  • Maintenance of fire protection and safeguarding systems.
  • Participate in the section’s routine daily planning and KPI inputs.
  • Originate Material Demand Slips (MDS) and follow through the receipt of materials.
  • Initiate Terms of Reference (TOR), organize and be capable of chairing weekly technicians meetings.
  • Ensure that all HES standing orders are adhered to, and that all work is carried out per company rules and regulations.
  • Guide and mentor Omani Junior technicians.

  • College Diploma with minimum of 7 years of experience in instrumentation area OR General Diploma certificate (Secondary School) with minimum of 10 years of experience in instrumentation area.
  • Knowledge with programmable logic controller (PLC) and distributed control system (DCS) systems configuration and maintenance.
  • Knowledge with process control and communication protocols.
  • Knowledge with process measurement and metering systems.
  • Ability to coach and mentor new employees.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks.
  • Good PC skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
