ROLE PURPOSE:
Provides technical expertise pertaining to maintenance Rotating Services (MAF, SR, AP &PP, SRIP, LPIC) Generic, under Team Leader — Rotating Services (MAF, SR, AP &PP, SRIP, LPIC - Generic) Services' scope, as focal point of contact; by repair & service rotating equipment in accordance to maintenance best practice & department strategy; in order to minimize downtime, cost effective and ensure the reliability, availability of mechanical rotating equipment
Senior Technician Rotating Services (MAF, SR, AP &PP, SRIP, LPIC) Generic position at Maintenance function, will act in accordance with Orpics' values & strategies, policies, guidelines, technology platform, HSE standards, Omani's government & other legal justification's, and best international practices in consonance with national objectives and Ethics standards.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & DELIVERABLES:
Description:
Attend tool box meeting with contractors to establish scope of work, HSE requirement & permit to work (E-PTW), special tools and material.
Perform scheduled preventive, corrective, breakdown and turnaround maintenance (shaft alignment, dynamic balancing & overhauling) of all rotating equipment. Perform condition monitoring/predictive routines of all rotating equipment's and its auxiliaries, notify any abnormality or malfunction to the immediate supervisor. Record maintenance activities (clearances, tolerances & abnormalities) and update equipment history for future references.
Ensure all maintenance resources (spare parts, tools & manpower) are available before doing the job/task
Assist maintenance contractors carrying out related work in the plant to ensure compliance with specified terms and conditions.
Keep all tools and rotating equipment in top working condition and advise supervisor of needed repairs or replacement.
Ensure that schedule shutdown maintenance jobs/tasks are carried out within the scheduled time frame.
Attend on call / emergency works in the plant during silence hours / off duty.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & QUAL'S:
Knowledge Experience & Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications for this position is Technical Diploma in Engineering or similar.
A minimum year of relevant experience is 5 years as Senior Maintenance Technician — Rotating Equipment role in (Oil & Gas / Petrochemical or Refinery Plant experience preferred).
Knowledge in operating and maintaining the reliability of all rotating equipment. Experience in condition monitoring systems of rotating equipment's.
Skills:
Ability to prevent major failures of rotating equipment through equipment surveillance
Vibration analysis.
Diagnose and determine the cause of faults in plant and equipment
Ability to provide sketches on spare parts / technical drafting Perform coupling alignment (Hot & Cold)
Ability to use of fine measurement tools like vernier caliper, internal/ ext. micrometre, feeler gauge, precision level gauge, dial gauge, laser alignment etc.
Ability to trouble shoot maintenance activities of live plant.
