ROLE PURPOSE:
Provides engineering robust & proactive maintenance strategy, advise and support to the Electrical team & external contractors in performing electrical maintenance services in designated areas (MAF, SR, AP &PP, SRIP, LPIC) across Orpic sites and all related operations, under Team Leader Maintenance Electrical (MAF, SR, AP &PP, SRIP, LPIC) Generic scope's, as Technical Service provider of maintenance and execution of minor electrical projects & modifications in accordance with the technical standards set by TSD to maintain the assets; through the development of electrical solutions to maintenance and solve electrical problems in designated areas, (preventive and corrective maintenance), the identification of opportunities for improvement, as well as, assess and support improvement proposals from others; in order to ensure that the assets and electric equipment are available at all times, minimizing the down time and meeting the operational targets that support the gross margin / profitability with a sufficient organisational capability for business continuity while identifying & developing talent people to as feeder for Orpic talent pipeline.
Senior Engineer — Electrical (MAF, SR, AP &PP, SRIP, LPIC) Generic position at Maintenance function, will act in accordance with Orpic's values & strategies, policies, guidelines, technology platform, HSE standards, Omani's government & other legal justification's, and best international practices in consonance with national objectives and Ethics standards.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Deliverables
Accountable for reliability of electrical equipment such as switchgear, transformers, motors, drivers, UPS/BC, generation system, communication system.
Assist Team Leader on troubleshooting and CM of electrical equipment.
Review and update PM plans for electrical equipment.
Supervise the execution of maintenance project works in the section (including modification and improvement projects).
Review and evaluate the protection settings in case of electrical failure.
Coordinate with Engineering for modifications in the drawings and documents.
Prepares Scope of Work (SOW) for contractor assignments within the section, including turnaround activities.
Carries out investigations and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for electrical systems failure and implements the Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) within the section.
Monitors spare parts consumption within the section and initiates codification of new items. Assess interchangeability of spares for critical electrical equipment.
Prepare Management of Change (MOC) for electrical maintenance relevant jobs.
Review technical evaluation of electrical bidding contracts.
Review work method statement for electrical field jobs originated by electrical engineers
Strategy
Carries out the department strategy as per departmental KPls.
Studies the plants' electrical system, identifies potential improvements and establishes the most suitable course of action to implement them.
Develops the preventive maintenance schedule for the section.
Leadership
Gives work directions to the electrical supervisor on corrective and preventive maintenance tasks and for critical electrical equipment.
Provide accurate guidance to junior staff as required.
Budgets and Plans
Provide input into budget preparations under the guidance of the Team Leader.
Participates in preparing purchase orders.
Monitors the expenditure and prepare the report.
Organisation Structure
Contributes to the integrity of the organisation structure through constructive feedback.

Contribute to improving processes and procedures within the department in conjunction with Team Leader.
Knowledge of processes in this area essential to ensure continuity of workflow.
Prepare procedures and work instructions (WI) within the section.

Ensure all mandatory HSE inductions are completed and toolbox talks are held prior to commencement of any job.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge Experience & Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications for this position is University degree in Electrical engineering or similar.
Minimal total experience of 10 years in Electrical Plant Maintenance Services inclusive of + 4 years of relevant experience as Senior Engineer — electrical role (Oil & Gas / Petrochemical or Refinery Plant experience preferred .
Knowledge of Refinery and Petrochemical industry electrical work.
Knowledge of NFPA / NEC areas classification.
Background in electrical maintenance best practices.
Skills:
Proficient with electrical software applications, such as ETAP.
Equipment failure diagnosis. Problem solving skills.
