Responsibilities and Job Activities
The responsibilities and job activities are:
Journey Management:
- To drive conformance to Journey management and challenge the noncompliance of all journeys by ensuring where possible the standards, certification and legal requirements for journey management and driving are adhered to.
- Verifies the necessity of a journey with Line Management, if required, and suggests available options for an alternative means of making the journey: by air or together with another ARA approved vehicle etc.
- Arrange the required transportation for ARA staff.
- Verifies that the journeys are assessed correctly for risk using the Road Journey Risk Assessment Form.
- Verifies trained drivers and approved vehicles are assigned to the journey.
- Verifies that Road Journey Management Plans are approved in accordance with the approval matrix as described in ARA HSE instructions.
- Logs all the journeys and keep records.
- Tracks and records each journey until arrival to destination using IVMS Web Tracking System service and other communication tools.
- Communicates with the driver in case of driver fails to confirm the departure time, rest stops and arrival time within 30 minutes of the estimated time shown in the RJMP.
- Reports any malfunction of IVMS units of the company vehicles.
- Prepares daily reports on any non-compliance or unsafe driving practices or behaviors.
- Immediately report emergencies to the respective line manager(s).
- Records the non-compliances during the journey.
- Prepares daily and monthly reports on journeys monitored.
- Raises any questionable journey to HSE for verification and decision, has the right to stop any of such a journey until these concerns appropriately are addressed and rectified.
- ARA JMC is responsible and accountable for proper tracking, controlling and closing of every assigned journey.
- Authorized to stop any unsafe task or acts within Office and field activities
Security: 
- The control room is operated 24hrs a day 365 days a year.
- The control room is be staffed by at least one operator round the Clock in two shifts.
- Responsible for controlling policy and procedure relating to HQ security including access badges, authorization forms and visitor request forms. The day-to-day responsibility and administration of this activity is delegated to Security Operations
- Responsible for approving the activation, modification, and deactivation of all HQ Security Access Badges.
- Monitor access into and out of the HQ premises.
- Manage and supervise the CCTV system on behalf of QAMP Security and in accordance with this Code of Practice and the operation manuals.
- Arrange for the viewing of recordings of incidents, which in their judgement, may be viewed.
- Ensure the adequacy of procedures for the transfer of images, which are to be   used   in evidence to other parties, and to ensure those procedures preserve the continuity of evidence.
- Advise on the operational use of the system.
- Track and maintain the incident registration logs.
- Ensure that effective monitoring and evaluation of the system takes place in accordance with the guidelines contained in this Code of Practice.
- Ensure that effective repair and maintenance of all parts of the system (including system updates) is undertaken.
- Control room records and operational reports.
- The contents of recording medium (on a spot-check basis)
- Equipment performance
- Ensure the destruction of old data is carried out in a controlled and secure manner and environment.
- Visitors Book: All visitors to the control room are required to sign in the visitor’s book, together with the times of arrival and departure and the reason for the visit.
- Video stills request register to be maintained

المهارات المطلوبة

a) He, she has a College Diploma / Secondary School Certificate.
b) Basic computer skills (Windows, Microsoft applications, Web navigation)
c) Other HSE Leadership training, Defensive Driving with valid Oman driving license.
d) The successful candidate has a proven track record with an operator, has practical field experience on a supervisory level and has preferably held a similar role. A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience is required.
e) The person has adopted a strong attitude to safety and pursues best practices regarding the environment and the health of field personnel.
f) He or she is capable of translating plans into pragmatic operational programs in the field.
g) The person must master a good oral and written Arabic + English skills.
