The Machinist will be field orientated and centrally based within the maintenance department. The Machinist will be responsible to fabricates, maintain and repair metal objects through the operation of lathes, shapers, planers, milling machines, drill presses, hydraulic presses and similar equipment. In addition, ensure maintenance activities are carried out as planned within set time, high quality and as per HES standards in order to maintain high reliability & availability of mechanical equipments.

The Machinist responsibilities will include but not limited to:

• Performs milling and lathe work on equipment such as pumps, valves, pistons, shafts, impellers etc.
• Identify spare parts required for overhauling and maintenance activities.
• Carry out overhauling and maintenance activities of mechanical equipments (Compressor valves and cylinder heads, etc)
• Support the sustainability of daily planning and reporting.
• Provide inputs during root cause analysis (RCA) on cylinder heads and valves.
• Training junior technicians to improve their technical skills.
• Ensure adherence to company’s HES rules & regulations.

• College Diploma with minimum of 3 years’ experience working with machine shop equipment (e.g. lathes, shapers, planers, milling machines, drill presses, hydraulic presses …etc) OR General diploma certificate (secondary school) with minimum 5 years’ experience working with machine shop equipment (e.g. lathes, shapers, planers, milling machines, drill presses, hydraulic presses … etc).
• Experience in oil & gas industry is a plus.
• Knowledge on the use of graphic instructions such as blueprints, sketches, models or other visual aids.
• Knowledge in equipment spare parts.
• Knowledge to read & interpret equipment manuals and drawings to identify parts.
• Knowledge in measurement devices such micrometers and calipers (inches & millimeters) or similar.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
