PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Ensure full implementation of Daleel annual HSE plan, with compliance checks as part of regular rig visits. Ensure the fully awareness and compliance with HSE critical Tasks. Participate in incident investigations when appropriate. Ensure all assigned rigs are progressing the Rig HSE file and fulfilling requirements.
• Performs supervisory functions and exercises financial authority at the level established by Senior Management for this position. Prepares authorization for expenditure request with estimated costs and time frame.
• Designs the well specifications taking into account the information presented from Exploration and Development and the experience gained from previous benchmarked wells drilled in the field. Draws on sources of local experience to maximize knowledge base prior to the final design.
• Assists with the preparation of drilling program tenders from a technical perspective. Lead and contribute in monthly drilling performance reviews.
• Track/display weekly/monthly Unit performance, highlights/lowlights and learning. Receives feedback from the Drilling supervisor on a daily basis and evaluates the inputs to ensure that all aspects of the program are within budget and on schedule. Identifies any variation in the schedule from the planned schedule and undertakes an analysis and modification to the drilling plan in conjunction with the Drilling Manager.
• Liaise with contractors to ensure the logistic/operations are clearly understood by all parties prior to start the drilling program and operations.
• Visit the rig regularly to support the planning, elaborate on the execution risks and review HSE/operational issues as identified in the well program. Ensure follow-up and close-out of any actions resulting from Audits, inspections, incidents and maintain auditable evidence (as appropriate).
• Stays abreast of current developments in well design and the oil drilling industry to ensure the use of latest techniques and technology can be utilized as required
• Undertakes the training of Omani nationals as directed by Management
• Take decision in related challenging situation. Approve and negotiate related Invoices and proposals.

Minimum Academic Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree in Engineering
Minimum Work experience:
10 years in Well Engineering operations.
Skills Required:
•Good working knowledge of MS-Excel, MS-Word and MS-PowerPoint.
•Light driving license.
•IWCF certificate
1.Technically qualified to prepare and evaluate drilling proposals & programs.
2.Ability to compile Daleel & Drilling contracts documents and reports.
3.Address,communicate and present to higher authorities for required approval
