Key Responsibilities
Support, coordinate, supervise or lead Production Projects primarily with Production Chemistry issues which often involving multiple departments to achieve business plan targets in a safe and environmentally sound manner.
Typical challenges include:
• Mitigation of organic and inorganic scales,H2S & CO2, corrosion, oxygen, emulsions and biological activity.
• Selection, implementation and evaluation of production chemicals and monitoring treatment performance.
• Quality control & assurance of oil, gas and water injection based on the specific KPIs and limitations set for each product.
• A strong commitment to field trials and ensuring that optimum chemical rates are applied to the fields.
• Management of contracts related to production chemistry activities.
• Management of Budget related to each contract.
Required Experience and Expertise:
• Experience in managing fluid separation, water quality, scale control, corrosion mitigation and bacteria.
• Experience in controlling reservoir souring.
• Tracking of critical operations compliance with regards to dosing and management of chemicals.
• Broad range of operational, process and Oilfield equipment experience.
• Experience in analyzing and discussing the results obtained from chromatography and spectroscopy techniques.
• Good Knowledge of oilfield chemical and laboratory and field test procedures related to products application.
• Leads the team in analytical techniques and analysis of data.
• Independently conducts sample analysis of different complexity, preparation, extraction, and digestion with use of instrumentation ( spectroscopic and chromatography technique) or by using of wet chemistry only following official methods and laboratory Standard Operating Procedures(SOPs).
• Experience in managing field staff with strong initiative and proven project management skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the demonstrated ability to interact with multi disciplined teams including Operations, Facilities Engineering, Well Engineering, and E&D Teams.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from individuals and/or groups both within the organization or while representing the organization.
• Detailed understanding of chemical hazards and chemical safety requirements.
• Establish road map for continuous improvement thru complete cycle of Plan, Do, Check and assess for each product and application.
• Follow all safety, health and environmental policies of the Company at all times
• Ensure that all QHSE requirements are fully under compliance.
• Reviewing quality control and quality assurance programs; making adjustments in policy and procedures; generating high level reports; maintaining records
• Select and manage contractors in monitoring and evaluating chemical application and effectiveness.
• Knowledge of the chemistries underlying the products using in the field / process and familiarization with basic quality control techniques and principles.
• Ensure lab and production chemist are trained to implement products to reach maximum efficiency and achieve best Return on Investment.
• Experience in establishing Standards, Process and procedures.
• Experience in Identifying scope and select suppliers according to the complexity of field development and Daleel requirements.
• Enables enhancement of technical competencies of employees and ensures effective implementation of career development and succession planning processes.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and stressing condition
• Excellent time management skills which includes the ability to work on multiple projects concurrently, while achieving different deadlines.
• Self-starter with the ability to achieve goals without supervision
المهارات المطلوبة
Required Qualifications:
•B.Sc. Degree in Chemistry /Chemical engineer.
Minimum Work experience:
•Minimum 10 years in Oil Field Chemical application and development.
