To ensure smooth start-up of work units that are new to join PDO's fleet by assisting PDO and contractor staff in activities ranging from equipment specification, design, selection, quality assurance and operational readiness assurance (People, Equipment and Systems) and auditing.To act as Subject Matter Focal Point, providing in-depth expertise on all matters related to rig/ hoist/ utility equipment as well as start-up and commissioning

Bachelor or Master of Engineering/ Science degree in an Engineering or Geosciences discipline. A minimum of 12 years with a minimum of 4 years as DSV and another 5 years as office-based Well Operations Engineer. In-depth knowledge of modern mechanised rig and hoist equipment and associated safety interlocks. In-depth experience across a wide variety of work units, in conducting technical audits on work units addressing People , Equipment and Systems (like ModuSpec); prior experience with managing the upgrade of work units, good knowledge on standards and specifications related to rig/WPH (PDO, Shell, API, IEC, ASME, ISO etc.). Familiarity with the minimum requirements and contents of HSE cases. Familiarity with risk assessment techniques like HAZOP, HAZID, FMEA preferred.
