Petroleum Development Oman is the leading exploration and production company in the Sultanate of Oman. The Company delivers the majority of the country's crude oil production and natural gas supply.
The subject position is mainly accountable for:1. Provide overall quality support across PDO 2. Training of PDO GDP (Graduate Development Program) Quality Engineers and Omanis for QA/QC positions under contracts C311478/C311812 in line with approved training plans.
• Support in developing corporate quality strategy and contribute in the achievement of the targets following its implementation. • Prepare/revise the Training plan / Learning ladder for quality graduates and established Quality Engineers • Prepare/review the training material for the training of graduate quality Engineers• Ensure the effectiveness of training program for PDO Quality engineers and non-PDO quality staff • Coach the graduate Quality Engineers• Prepare/revise/execute the training plan for non-PDO trainees e.g; Summer/winter, Eidaad, Ministry, Khubra.• Review the Training Manuals prepared by Contractors for QA/QC Engineer, Multi-Discipline Inspector, Civil Inspector, Electrical Inspector, Instrumentation Inspector and Mechanical Inspector positions. • Ensure the effectiveness of the QA/QC training program delivered by Contractors• Support and provide guidance in Simplify/Standardize PDO quality standards• Provide support and guidance to PDO quality staff on Technical Authority (TA) Qualifications• Prepare “Principal Technical Expert - PTEs” development program for Quality staff. • Provide support and guidance to the identified PTEs during their development program• Assist UEQ in TA2/TA3 assessment of PDO quality staff• Prepare/revise the Job Competence Profiles for JG5 to JG2• Prepare/revise the Omanization program for quality positions on a 5 years basis and liaise with Quality Leads within PDO for replacement of Expat Sr/Quality Engineers with Omani Quality Engineers• Conduct knowledge sharing to Quality and non Quality members• Conduct monthly engagement sessions with the trainees/ graduate quality engineers• Participate in L1 Audits, Project Execution Reviews, Quality Health Checks to validate that the processes are in line with PDO requirements
