الوصف الوظيفي

• Provider of Drilling Engineering expertise to deliver optimum well design to deliver well objectives
• Detailed well design including casing, mud programme and cementing programme designs in accordance with BP best practices and utilising BP approved tools and input from appropriate specialists in Central Engineering Teams.
• Preparation of drilling programs, operations procedures, equipment lists and well AFE’s. Investigate, review and assess the introduction of appropriate, new or innovative technology as appropriate to improve drilling performance.
• Provide drilling engineering, technical, and quality assurance support as required to the drilling operations and implementation of the drilling programmes.
• Specification of material, equipment and services requirements and facilitate scheduling and calling forward of material and services requirements for well operations
• Access, apply and transfer best engineering and drilling operational practices
• Perform post well reviews and incorporate learning into future drilling programs
• Implementation of “Technical Limit” to deliver continuous improvements.

المهارات المطلوبة

• Only open for Omani nationals
• Bachelor degree in engineering or applied sciences like math and physics.
• A minimum of 7 years of practical drilling operations experience is required
• Excellent HSSE behaviours that promote flawless execution of appraisal & FDP activities and design HSSE performance into the well design.
• Strong integration and planning skills within multi-discipline well planning and drilling operations teams.
• Highly skilled at well design including casing design, mud & cement design, bit technology, horizontal drilling.
• Excellent teamwork and behaviours that foster close interaction with supply chain, subsurface and facilities teams and ensure a programmatic approach and full access to synergies and technology development benefits are delivered.
• Strong influence and negotiation skills to underpin good working relationships with BP’s customers and service providers.
