الوصف الوظيفي
• Manages all aspects of regional discipline health, including competency, team size and recruitment. (Comment: Relevant activities include interviews, competency assessments, contractor evaluation, and contributions to the regional Capability forum as required.)
• Manages and coaches a team of direct reports, driving the appropriate behaviors to achieve success, including a continuous improvement culture. Identifies capability gaps and puts gap closure plans in place. (Comment: Training offers include Challenge, excellence, eLearning’s, and external training sources.)
• Maintains the relevant suite of engineering processes and tools for the discipline. Ensures compliance to agreed regional Standards/Processes, endorsing deviations where needed. (Comment: Standard tools should always be deployed where available. Integrate with other teams that share the same engineering processes and tools.)
• Leads the prioritization of work and allocation of resources for the discipline on behalf of all regional sub-functions. Responsible for the quality of all work performed by the team. (Comment: Work plans and resourcing should address both short-term and long-term business needs, seeking additional support from central GOO/UEC as required.)
• Ensures BP and Industry best practice is correctly applied to manage process-induced threats for mechanical equipment. (Comment: Relevant process threats include low temperature, over-pressure, Flow-induced (FIV), Acoustic induced vibration (AIV).
• Ensures BP and Industry best practice is correctly applied to minimize valve failures. (Comment: Relevant valve failures include in-line leakage, external leakage and functional failures.)
• Ensures BP and Industry best practice is correctly applied to minimize failure of bolted joints and mechanical connectors. (Comment: Relevant considerations include in-line flange bolting, valve bolting, heat exchanger bolting, compact connectors, clamps, hot bolting.)
• Creates near-term and long-term views of equipment obsolescence and develops both interim mitigating actions and long-term plans to address.
المهارات المطلوبة
• Open for Omani National Only
• 10+ years’ experience as a mechanical engineer
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Extensive technical understanding of mechanical engineering and maintenance of mechanical equipment.
• Proven ability in practical application of upstream and regional engineering standards and practices for mechanical equipment.
• People leadership and stakeholder management experience.
