الوصف الوظيفي
The Drilling Analytics Engineer (DAE) is responsible for delivering complete, comprehensive drilling benchmarking and performance analyses, ensuring quality data management, and that performance records are current and concise. The DAE directly supports the Drilling Engineering and Drilling Operations staff and provides supervision and guidance to Drilling Technologists. The DAE is also the Business Unit focal point for OpenWells and Drilling Data Analytics CoP. The DAE has oversight of the benchmarking process and collation of drilling data.
The Drilling Analytics Engineer
responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Ensures accurate performance metric data is collected, analyzed and recorded diligently.
Acts as the primary resource for ensuring OpenWells data quality.
Leads the preparation of quarterly and annual drilling performance reports.
Gathers, compiles, organizes and performs initial analysis of pertinent well data and/or project costs utilized in planning, design, analysis, benchmarking and performance evaluation of capital drilling projects.
Provides quality data to Supply Chain and Drilling contract proponents for use at service quality meetings
Ensures accuracy of the OpenWells wellbore schematics.
Assists with Drilling department material reconciliation.
Assists DM / DES with regular reports to other departments/external organizations (e.g. MOG).
Assists Drilling Engineers with compilation of end of well reports.
Assists Drilling Engineers with creation of definitive surveys in Compass and proper application of tool codes.
Assists Drilling Engineers with analysis and post-well project evaluations.
Coordinates and updates the Drilling Dashboard.
Prepares presentation materials on drilling performance for department.
Assists in resolving discrepancies between the field estimate and the actual project cost.
Assists with audit requests.
Interacts with other MENA and Oxy US Counterparts to ensure consistency in data acquisition and reporting.

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in any drilling activities.
Good analytical skills and affinity to further develop them.
Strong computer skills (Microsoft Applications – Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Word)
Must be a Power User of OpenWells and Compass.
Experience in the use of other Landmark software – Compass and WellPlan.
Must be proficient with Tibco Spotfire.
Willingness to learn job skills outside of technologist duties.
Ability and commitment to work accurately under pressure and meet deadlines.
Ability to work well and communicate with others, including drilling peers and cross functional team members, some of whom may be multi-national employees.
Proficient organizational and time management skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks or projects at the same time.
