Bachelor degree in Engineering, preferred in Electrical Engineering.
Minimum 10 years of technical work experience in electrical transmission, distribution and generation systems in oil & gas operations or similar environments (e.g. power generation, high voltage distribution systems, substations, equipment/end-device protection, power quality, HV/LV motors and VFD’s).
Experience in modeling of electric distribution, transmission and generation systems, modeling acumen to include load flow, short circuit, motor starting, stability, load shed, protective device coordination, arc-flash hazard analysis, etc. with computer software (ETAP, Easy Power, EDSA, SKM or similar).
Experience with protective relays, circuit re-closers, variable frequency drives (VFDs), power systems (UPS), low and high resistance grounding systems, circuit breakers, power and distribution transformers, synchronous machines, medium voltage switchgear and motor control centers (MCC), large medium voltage motors, high voltage substations, transmission and distribution lines.
Experience with electrical reliability and efficiency, power quality, power management systems, electrical SCADA and GIS applications.
Good working knowledge of International Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) standards and guidelines, Electrical Safety in the Workplace (NFPA-70E), and safety standards.
Good working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and the International Electrical Code (IEC).
Broad based knowledge and experience at developing and implementing strategic plans for preventive maintenance, Protection System Monitoring Program (PSMP) practices, personnel/equipment safety, electrical testing and test methods for electrical substations, switchgear, and transmission/distribution lines.

Valid PE (Professional Engineer) license or certificate.
