Job purpose Provdes expert guidance, and strong support for the for the successful delivery of the Data Quality strategy and vision at RPI & Plastics, under under delegated authority from Manager Information Management & Digital Delivery together with the Data Quality and Metadata Standards in collaboration with the rest of the Data team within the business. It is also responsible for analyzing data, assessing the quality against OQ standards and requirements and proposing appropriate improvement plans. The position will act in accordance with the Group’s Mission, Vision, Values & Strategies, as well as, policies, guidelines and standards, supported by an IT Technology platform, HSE standards, Omani’s government & other legal justification’s, and best international practices in consonance with national objectives. |
Main tasks and responsibilities - Contribute to the development and implementation of the Data Quality Strategy and Framework for OQ
- Define measure, analyze, improve and control the Data Quality metrics based on relevant business processes.
- Identify the system and tools required to manage data quality within OQ
- Work with Business Units to understand dependency on data assets to inform the development of the Data Quality processes, methods to ensure high quality data
- Provide guidance to OQ teams with regard to data cleansing and enrichment activities
- Become actively involved in deployment planning of business applications, delivery and developing the appropriate delivery guides and training where needed;
- Become actively involved in testing of data quality software used within OQ;
- Become actively involved in data conversion and data quality reporting activities;
- Working closely together with data owners in improving data quality of critical data structures.

Education requirements | Minimum Qualifications for this position is diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Information Management/ Data management/Software engineering or related disciplines. |

- 10 + years of relevant experience as a data quality Expert, software engineer or in data
- Relevant experience in compliance, information systems, information
Both cases: - Experience with internationally recognized quality management systems e.g. ISO 9001
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements (GDPR/SOX/NRAA…etc) preferred.
- Familiarity with IM Standards (DAMA, AIIM, ARMA, ISO…etc)
- Experience with data modelling, architecting, data quality metrics, data analysis, and information risk management.
