To maintain computer, network and transmission infrastructure across assigned PDO locations to ensure services are operational in line with the agreed service level requirements and customer satisfaction
• Degree in Computing, Telecommunications or Engineering with a minimum of 4 years experience in telecommunications or computer operations & maintenance.• Preferably with some experience in the Oil and Gas Industry.• Team player with a commitment to deliver quality and pro-active service.
• Conduct capacity reviews of the IT infrastructure systems in his area and produce recommendations to upgrade in order to meet business demands or improve performance• Ensures execution of preventive and corrective maintenance is in line with annual work plan and improves efficiency of IT infrastructure and update asset records in configuration management database• Ensures IT infrastructure is well maintained to provide business uptime and availability as per agreed service level agreements• Conduct root cause analysis of major escalated problems & execute remedial actions to prevent reoccurrence• Work with senior teams and third party vendors/service providers to conduct functionality, performance, and physical checks prior and post commissioning, on IT infrastructure as specified in the checklist, • Monitors, reviews and reports on infrastructure integrity and capacity vis-à-vis known business requirements• Provide reactive and proactive support to minimize any adverse impacts on business, as well as assists in testing of business continuity plans• Carry out technical feasibility surveys, planning and executing Operations in-house projects.• Conducts hands-on training to resolve skill or knowledge gaps contributing to recurring problems• Maintain knowledge base, particularly with regard to the change in architecture and platforms • Adhere to the requirements of the HSE management System as specified in the CP 122 as HSE – MS Procedure and items cascaded from this document by the team leader.• Attend the daily TOOLBOX meetings & monthly HSE meetings in the area.• Maintain up-to-date HSE certifications and actively enforce requirements.
