•Design, prepare and delivers training programs and facilitate hands-on exersices for instrumentation/Process Control & Automation engineering.
•Reviews, evaluates, reflects, and revises program curricula and training delivery methods.
•Applies the full spectrum of learning methods (i.e. on the job, blended, coaching/mentoring, classroom and networks and simulation)
•Gathers information on the latest learning channels including new technologies to embed within training programs.
•Establish learning effectiveness process to measure the outcome of learning.
•Liaise with the relevant stakeholders to align the program content with the competency framework to Operate and Maintain.
•Coordinate with respective function the specific requirements of theoretical and practical training activities.
•Interface with stakeholders and obtain approvals on all matters related to Staff development and training
•Ensure all training resources (people, facilities, equipment, and materials) are adequate and available when required
•Identify all potential risks to the success of the training plan and implement effective mitigation plans
•Provide regular progress reviews of the trainees and graduates and report the status and any identified risks
•Assist the function in assessing technicians and operator’s capability.
•Maintain records of assessment progress and administration.
•Liaise with the learning team to organize HSE related training.
•Develop a Training Plan & Schedule.
Discipline Activities:
•Develop Short process safety courses/ Asset Integrity Process Safety Management (AIPSM) programs to address Line competence requirements.
•Deliver training programs
•Record and report trainees and Graduates progress against training plans.
•Liaise with OJT instructors to ensure that the theory is relevant and compatible On-job training.
HSE related:
•Maintain a high level of safety awareness and standards in all daily duties and tasks and guide the trains on safe working practices.
•Proactively manage all HSE aspects of training activity execution and compliance with directorate HSE plan
•Ensure healthy safeguarding systems for workshop, DCS room and HIBA station
•Accountable for ensuring implementation and adherence to the requirements of the
HSE Management System.
•Ensure HSE and Permit To Work (PTW) systems are followed before starting a job, ensure proper use of tools and PPE, conduct regular site visits, advice co-workers on potential hazards, check safety equipment, notify management of unsafe working conditions, report HSE incidents, actively participate in HSE meetings.
•Carry-out Risk assessment as required.
•Familiarity with latest design methods and techniques e.g. SIL, HAZOP Design review is essential.
•Participate in all key equipment design, operability, and maintainability reviews (HAZOPs, IPFs, etc.).
Process safety related:
•Ensure that Critical Tasks related to Asset Integrity-Process Safety Management (AI-PSM), as defined in the Procedural Manual, are undertaken, and executed.
•Apply AI-PSM principles in all activities.
•Act at all times in accordance with the PDO Statement of Policy on AI-PSM.
•Identify and comply with AI-PSM responsibilities as documented in the AI-PSM System.
