The Reservoir Engineering Discipline Lead will be assigned and co-located toeither Oil South, Oil North, Gas Directorate or Hydrocarbon Maturation Centre andwill support the business by providing assurance of reservoir engineering processsafety, technical and PDO process deliverables.In addition, the RE DL assists the CFDH, the fellow DLs and the PetroleumEngineering Directorate to drive and implement the functional improvement plan.
• University degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or equivalenttechnical subject with a minimum of 15 years RE experience. Exposure tonon-RE (e.g. commercial) or international experiences is a plus.• Technically strong in RE field with good all-around knowledge of other PEdisciplines including a proven track record in Hydrocarbon Maturation andWRFM. Recent hands-on experience desirable.• Waterflood experience• A PTE, SME or aSME appointment is a plus• Experienced dynamic modeler preferably using CMG or TNavigator andeffective at utilizing the models for reservoir management and DevelopmentPlanning.• Good leadership skills, experience working effectively in multidisciplinaryteams and a strong team player• Effective communicator, ability to coach/mentor younger staff and ability tothink beyond discipline.
Principal AccountabilitiesPeople• Manage the RE competence framework to meet current as well as futureEngergy Transition requirements• Grow PDOs assurance capability• Leverage review and assurance to coach/mentor RE staff to increase overallRE competence• Lead / contribute to competence assessments and RE recruitment• Together with the Skill Pool Manager, lead succession planningProcess• Stand in for RE CFDH on need basis in progression / establishment panelsand reviews• Drive and implement the functional improvement plan• Lead or support review and generation of Code of Practices, Guidelines,SOPs, and other guidance documents• Responsible for the maintance and expansion of the PDO RE tool kitTechnical Assistance and Assurance• The RE DL is a process safety advocate and leader• Review and assure RE deliverables, including APRPR and PB and otherforecasting cycles (STPF). Ensure DCAF compliance. Lead or contribute tocorporate assurance events• Lead and contribute to HCM and WRFM activities, like CR workshops,opportunity framings or other ORP / IRM deliverables, water flood andWRFM health checks.• Provide technical support to the Clusters in areas of RE DL expertise.
