Job purpose

Develop lead and monitor the execution of all maintenance Planning activities & gas transportation facilities of the Gas Network in Salalah/Nimr  under Team Lead Maintenance Salalah/Nimr scope’s as owner of planning standards for maintenance works and execution of minor projects, modifications in accordance with the technical standards set to maintain the assets through: (1)  Executing  business planning, & performance management tasks such as data gathering for studies, analysis of PM plans in SAP, CMMS (SAP) system & follow- up, (2) Prepare reports and feedback on regards maintenance plan & scheduling (maintenance backlog reports), and (3) Compliance monitoring to implemented work processes (KPI’s, internal/ external audits recommendations); in order to ensure maximum availability of plant by optimization of cost & resource; in line with OQ HSE and business policies ensuring integrity of facilities in order to deliver the integrated activity plan.

 

The position will act in accordance with the Group’s Mission, Vision, Values & Strategies, as well as, policies, guidelines and international standards, supported by an IT Technology platform, HSE standards, Omani’s government & other legal justification’s, and best international practices in consonance with national objectives.

Main tasks and responsibilities

 

  • Ensures that effective planning & scheduling services are provided using best maintenance practices.
  • Ensures that daily planning meeting is conducted effectively & the jobs are planned / scheduled as per the required work priority.
  • Provides guidance & support to planning team to prepare short term & long-term maintenance plans, schedules with sufficient resource requirements for all maintenance activities.
  • Reviews the progress reports & performance indicators and takes appropriate action and coordinates with concerned teams to catch-up for lagging areas.
  • Provide guidance & support for follow up of material requisitions with respective functions and escalates the problematic areas with the concerned teams.
  • Takes lead & communicates with operation, TSD, HSE and other departments for coordination of complex maintenance jobs.
  • Provided inputs for development of maintenance contracts, its administration, control and availability of resources.
  • Initiates the procurement process for maintenance services & supplies by preparation of detailed scope of works and liaising with various departments.
  • Involves in technical evaluation of new tenders as required and participation in kick-off meetings.
  • Facilitates for estimation of required contract resources including manpower & mobile equipment.
  • Coordination with contracts team leads for contractor mobilization & de-mobilization.
  • Provides guidance for asset management & update of master data in SAP.
  • Analyze the market trends and participate in formulating appropriate strategies to ensure most effective and economic utilization of resources.
  • Ensures that teams members properly follow-up for items under procurement process, and regularly review backlog work orders waiting for material.
  • Ensure timely actions are taken for all related RCA points
  • To review master data as required.
  • To contribute to Continuous Improvement initiatives to enhance throughput, product and service levels to our customer.
  • Coordinate all maintenance activities at gas transportation facilities.
  • Liaise (frontline) with maintenance function and technical support, for issue resolution and communication related to maintenance matters.
  • Support the preparation of maintenance budget and review of contractors’ costing for all maintenance related works.

Education requirements

  • Bachelor’s in Engineering, or related.

Language requirements 

Excellent knowledge of written, read, and spoken English (required)

Background and experience

Competencies and skills

  • 5+ years of experience in similar / relevant position
  • Adaptable and motivated general management strategist who relishes challenges.
  • Experience and knowledge in project planning, cost control, contract development, installation, trouble shooting, and start-up.
  • Sound judgment in technical matters with good skills in engineering field materials specifications and international standards.
  • Experience as a Planner in Maintenance Planning Services (Oil & Gas /.
  • Operations / Process Engineer role within the Oil & Gas preferably with experience in the area/assets associated with this position 
  • Operation Planning and Scheduling - process and plant equipment including use of computer-based tools. Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS). Expertise in SAP- PM Module. & Primavera P6 / Maximo / MS Project/ Proficiency in M/S Office
  • Knowledge of reading and interpreting P&ID & PFD
  • Sound judgment in technical matters with good skills in engineering field.
  • Proven experience with Personal Safety Management.in Quality Assurance, Quality Control and HSE plans.
  • Good knowledge in HSE / SCE equipment & plans.
  • HSE (Permit to Work – PTW, Confined Space, Process Safety, H2S Awareness, Basic Fire Fighting, HAZOP., Good knowledge Managing Risks and Hazards, Emergency Response
  • Good experience in planning, scheduling of Turnaround activities routine maintenance & shutdown related jobs.
  • Sound judgment in technical matters with good skills in engineering field, materials specifications QA/QC and international standards.
