Job Title:Facilities Inspection Engineer,Department:Technical Support Department,Job Purpose:Provides Support, guide and monitor for Inspection Services Program in Inspection Services at NGLE under Sr. Engineer Corrosion & inspection Service scope's; through (1) Assisting the Sr. Corrosion Inspection Engineer to handle the inspection & integrity processes for Company's on plot facilities as well as having sound technical know-how for inspection techniques, methodologies & standards, (2) Provide technical expertise on Plant Inspection Services Program (routine and non-routine) inspection activities & work/supports with the Operations, Maintenance and Projects, and (2) Maintenance and Projects. Identify opportunities for asset integrity management improvements and enhance equipment integrity and reliability aspects of static equipment, piping and storage tanks; in order to ensure all static equipment, piping and storage tanks integrity and reliability while ensuring the integrity of the plant equipment (static & piping)
Engineer, Facilities Inspection Services position will act in accordance with NGLEs' Mission, Vision, Values & Strategies, as well as, policies, guidelines and international standards, supported by an IT Technology platform, HSE standards, Omani's government & other legal justification's, and best international practices in consonance with national objectives.
,Roles and Responsibilities:-Assist the Sr. Corrosion & Inspection Engineer in inspection processes for all pressure equipment.
-Assist in developing inspection strategies for the various type of equipment and implement accordingly.
-Identify inspection techniques and frequencies for the various types of material degradations.
-Perform inspections in accordance to API510, API570 & other industry codes.
-Perform fitness for service analysis in accordance to API579.
-Identify type of repairs for the various degradations as revealed by inspection.
-Implement Risk Based Inspection and manage work process.
-Act as custodian for Inspection work processes and Standards and perform revisions as needed.
-Assist in evaluating new technology related to inspection & degradation evaluation/monitoring.
-Investigate material failures and devise improvements.
-Adherence to all statutory requirements pertaining to HSE, and the HSE standards and specifications of OGC.
-Implementation of all quality and HSE requirements under your area of jurisdiction.
المهارات المطلوبة
Qualifications:
Diploma in Mechanical, Material Engineering or any equivalent certification. Preference of Bachelor Degree qualification.
Experience:
Total experience 8 Years in Oil &Gas. At least 4 years hands-on experience in the inspection of pressure equipment in oil & gas industry.
General Skills:
-Working knowledgeable on types of pressure equipment as well as design, maintenance & operability requirement.
-Skills in inspection methodologies, techniques & general work processes.
-Hand-on experience with NDT technique e.g. RT, MT, PT, UT will be added advantage
-Knowledge of Risk Based Inspection – principle & implementation
-Knowledge in fitness for service assessment as well as integrity and repair assessment.
-Understand material degradation – types, main causes, mitigations
-Knowledge on coating types and suitable environments.
-Fully conversant with international codes related to inspection of pressure retaining equipment, material, and corrosion e.g. API 510, API570, API571, API579, API581, NACE and ASME. Certification to these standards is preferred.
-Able to develop and review procedures.
-Strong understanding & appreciation of other cultures & cross-cultural integration in multifaceted environment.
-Skills in English language (written & spoken) as well as computer usage
