About the Company

Petroleum Development Oman is the leading exploration and production company in the Sultanate of Oman. The Company delivers the majority of the country's crude oil production and natural gas supply.

Purpose of the Job

To effectively manage the Contracts to ensure that the contractual terms and conditions are fully adhered to by both parties, and that the Contractor fully meets its contractual obligations in executing the work safely and within the contract period

To ensure the workload requirements of Well Delivery teams in assets are fully met by the contractor to complete PDO business targets

Education & Experience

1.    B.Sc. in any Engineering Discipline or Quantity Surveying, Science or equivalent.
2.    Minimum 7 years experience in Contract Management, Project Management, Claim Management and/or Change Control of projects, Oil and Gas experience is preferable.

 

Main Responsibilities

  • ?    Execution of  Contract & Procurment processes and activities  related to a specific Contract. 
  • ?    Conduct an external post award Contract Management workshop to ensure that the Contractor and the Company understand and comply with the provisions of the Contract, particularly with respect to HSE, Quality, Cost, Schedule and Sustainable Development (e.g. Local Content).
  • ?    Ensure records and documents are filed and maintained in line with Company Procedures.
  • ?    Implement and Execute the Post Award Contract Management plan.
  • ?    Close out Contract including confirmation of all deliverables, releasing securities, resolving outstanding issues and settle Final Account.
  • ?    Appraise Contractor and feedback performance
  • Ensure Provision of sufficient resources to execute projected workload.
  • Monitor spend and manage Contract within allocated budget and approved Contract Value. 
  • Effectively communicate to the Contractor and raise Variation to Contract as required.
  • Provide input to Major Tender Board notes for Contract VTCs and Annual Reviews.
  • Execute continuous Contract improvement throughout Contract Life-Cycle.
  • Screen / Endorse employment of all Contractor Key Personnel, Core Staff under the Contract (annual review and approve the requirements).
  • Drive identification and implementation of cost saving and/or schedule reduction initiatives without compromising HSE, technical integrity and quality.
  • Leads formulate KPI’s, monitor and enforce Contractual bonus/penalty as required. 
  • Effective liaison with engineering, operations and maintenance on technical advice when required.
  • Review Contract Performance Reports and implement contractual bonus/penalty.
  • Manage reviews and audits. Audit plan in place to include BPRs, HSE, Quality, Sub-Contractor, third party
