Execute activities involved in the repair/overhauling of equipments, in accordance with the technical specifications and activities contained in the workpack and quality execution plans as per UOM4 quality management.

HND/HNC /ONC/OND or equivalent in a relevant Engineering discipline with a minimum of 6 years of field experience, or High School General Diploma/NVQ in Engineering discipline with a minimum of 10 years of various types industrial valves repair experience.
Familiar with mechanical maintenance/operations exposure or rotaiting equipment disciplines.
Sound understanding of mechanical equipment repair procedures and code of practices. standrds
Self-motivated with excellent communication skills.
Awareness of Oil/Gas process systems, operations, procedures and practices.
Knowledge of HSE and process safety requirements. Responsible for the safety within his area of influence.
Computer literate ( Microsoft Office Windows)
Have a broader knowledge of rotating equipment repair/overhauling, and to demonstrate the ability to use international standars
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
To help repair and/or refurbish affected equipment so as to assure the minimum loss of production.
To help investigate equipment failures, determine root cause of failure, and recommend appropriate solutions to reduce recurrence of/or eliminate cause of failure
To assist in the development, implementation, and periodic review of repair procedures
To keep abreast of and evaluate new methodologies, work practices, equipment, machinery, technology, etc., for application and use within the workshop.
To maintain an error free execution, paying very close attention to details and executes work to the highest possible standard. Apply a “Continuous Improvement†philosophy to daily work.
Understand the correct use of engineering fits and tolerances. Has knowledge of tolerances and fits.
Understands how to utilize measuring equipment and tools at his disposal to ensure the correct fits are obtained.
Has ability to accurately measure mating surfaces to confirm these limits and fits as being correct to supplied information.
Familiarity with schematics and layout drawings and understand maintenance manuals.
Able to read equipments drawings and OEM documents and use this information during disassembly and assembly process.
Can use standard hand tools in routine and some complex situations. Fully conversant with the implication of using hand tools on different materials and understands the correct application of it.
Understands: The concept of both static and dynamic balancing of individual components, the areas in which balancing corrections should be performed and the effects an incorrectly balanced component may have on the running of a machine.
Understanding of balancing standards. Interpretation and application.

Remove and install antifriction bearings
Good khoeledge of English language to read, write and speak.
Responsible for the storage, machining, assembly, testing, painting and dispatch operations.
Ensuring that all materials are properly stored.
Coordinate quality control / assurance activities.
Support the development and maintenance of an efficient quality execution plan.
