Execute activities involved in the repair/overhauling of equipments, in accordance with the technical specifications and activities contained in the workpack and quality execution plans as per UOM4 quality management. This position included performs maintenance, assessment, repair, and testing on various types of industrial valves.

HND/HNC /ONC/OND or equivalent in a relevant Engineering discipline with a minimum of 6 years of field experience, or High School General Diploma/NVQ in Engineering discipline with a minimum of 10 years of various types industrial valves repair experience. Familiar with tools and machinery required to perform daily valve repair duties. Experience with repairing various valves and actuators, whether pneumatic, hydraulic or electric. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. To maintain an error free execution, paying very close attention to details and executes work to the highest possible standard. Apply a “Continuous Improvement” philosophy to daily work. Understand the correct use of engineering fits and tolerances. Has knowledge of tolerances and fits. Understands how to utilize measuring equipment and tools at his disposal to ensure the correct fits are obtained. Has ability to accurately measure mating surfaces to confirm these limits and fits as being correct to supplied information. Familiarity with schematics and layout drawings and understand maintenance manuals. Able to read equipments drawings and Operating Equiptment Manual (OEM) documents and use this information during disassembly and assembly process. Can use standard hand tools in routine and some complex situations. Fully conversant with the implication of using hand tools on different materials and understands the correct application of it. Good khoeledge of English language to read, write and speak. Certificates in NDT, inspection techniques etc Self-motivated with excellent communication skills. Application of SAP and Inspection system tool for record and trending purposes Computer literate ( Microsoft Office).
