About the Company

Petroleum Development Oman is the leading exploration and production company in the Sultanate of Oman. The Company delivers the majority of the country's crude oil production and natural gas supply.
 

Purpose of the Job

Assists the CRO in performing the Community Development duties in the area. In charge of Imprest and process administrative and financial transactions. Ensures all transactions and records maintained as per the financial procedures Enhance reputation while acting on behalf of CRO in his absence support community in areas relating to water distribution flight booking and site visits 

Education & Experience

  • Diploma in social Sciences, Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Marketing, Management and Law or equivalent?
  •  Minimum of 3 years- experience in managing finance, community relations, social investment, or other people issues? 
  • Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Arabic.
  • Excellent communication and problem solving skills.
  • Should be able to understand cultural sensitivity of the local area. 
  • Good system skills such as SAP, Excel and other MS Office tools.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide support and follow up on the ongoing Community projects in liaison with the CD management.
  • Act on behalf of  the Coordinator CRO in their absences 
  • Support Community Relations activities in the areas relating to water distribution, road grading, flight booking azba relocation, including visits to community and operations locations as and when required. 
  • Keeps good working relationship with members of the local community by visiting the Walis and Shaikhs and internal and External stakeholders PDO stakeholders to ensure smooth office operations.
  • Responsible for tracking all the report abnormalities to the area Coordinator/Officer.
  • Filing and record keeping of a correspondences management system in the office including the scanning and uploading of official documents. 
  • Act as a support relief and deputy to Coordinator/Officer in cases of emergency
  • Supports Coordinator/Officer in following up and tracking the ongoing community projects in collaboration with local authorities, SI team and contractors.
  • Record keeping and tracking of the community grievance mechanism and flag any issues to Coordinator/Officer. 
  • Arrange visits to SLCCs and LCCs as per schedule and ensure accurate reporting of minutes and issues addressed. 
  • Support Coordinator/Officer in attending site visits, inter-bidding events and internal audits for SLCCs and LCCs and attends on behalf when required. 
  • Attend LECC for ERP to support emergencies and deal with local issues on behalf of the Coordinator/Officer if not in office.
  • Maintain Imprest fund and compensation to locals , team  building ,escorting  etc. 
  • Responsible for receiving and dispatching Employment Visa and Resident Card (EV & RC) for expatriate employees based in interior to and from People & Change Directorate.
  • Responsible for receiving, dispatching and witnessing contract renewal /security gate pass for expatriate employees based in interior in Liaison People & Change Directorate.
