الوصف الوظيفي

The Senior Reservoir Engineer will provide reservoir engineering support for the Carbonate Reservoirs Team, primarily in the areas of reservoir management, surveillance, development, simulation studies, reserves and evaluating development opportunities.

 The Senior Reservoir Engineer will work closely with the Geoscientists, Petrophysicists and Production engineers to evaluate drilling opportunities and optimization/surveillance of waterflood in Carbonate Reservoirs Team. In addition, the Senior Reservoir Engineer will be responsible for developing production forecasts, providing simulation and modeling support to ongoing studies, and contributing to the annual reserves update.
 
The Senior Reservoir Engineer responsibilities will include but not limited to:
 
  • Evaluate/optimize the ongoing development plans and identify new opportunities.
  • Carry in surveillance and reservoir management on waterflood project.
  • Contribute to preparation of technical documentation for various subsurface projects.
  • Identify and evaluate field development opportunities including drilling and workover activities.
  • Develop production forecasts and determine remaining proved, probable, and possible reserves.
  • Support operations, facilities, exploration program and workover activities.
  • Propose data acquisition plans to enhance the reservoir characterization.
  • Support reservoir simulation studies and provide input to the ongoing simulation studies.
  • Develop reservoir performance analysis using both analytical and numerical tools.
  • Support and optimize acid stimulation jobs along with production engineers.
  • Participate in reservoir surveillance analysis including well and performance reviews.
  • Identify projects to maximize production and reserves additions.
  • Participate in various planning activities including reserves update, budget process, and capital post audits.
  • Developing and mentoring of Early Career Reservoir Engineers and other reservoir engineer levels.
  • Prepare and participate in various technical presentations for Oxy management, partners, and government.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
  • A minimum of 10 years of reservoir engineering experience.
  • Experience in classical reservoir engineering methods is required.
  • Experience in reserves estimation and reserves booking is required.
  • Experience in reservoir simulation modeling is desirable using CMG or tNav is desirable
  • Experience in corporate planning is desirable.
  • Experience in petroleum experts models (MBAL/PROSPER) is desirable.
  • Economic evaluation skills; experience using PEEP is desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent PC skills (especially with Microsoft Excel).
