Portfolio The position is part of an integrated PE team tasked to perform analysis and provide HCM solutions to petroleum portfolio in several carbonate and clastic reservoirs.
Reservoir understanding will be enhanced by utilizing BHI into reservoir characteristics so further opportunities can be identified to maximize HC recoveries during all stages of the field life-cycle.
On top of providing BHI reservoir characterization, the BHI SME is expected to deliver input into field development activities and business plans and has a leading role into the creation and execution of reservoir characterization surveillance plans.
As one of the most senior PGs in this Cluster of fields, he/she will conduct technical assurance of PG input by junior colleagues into reservoir characterization using BHI data.
Performance
• Community advice & support on BHI tasks (“help desk mode”) incl QAQC support.
• Advise UPP/UPG incl contract workscopes & SQMs
• Monitor pan-PDO BHI activities/plans & use to steer UDM prioritisation.
• Review of work proposals provided by the contractors to ensure maximum value to PDO.
• Contribute to quality assurance review and peer assists.
• Create / facilitate standards; develop & disseminate workflows
Process • Team member of a multi disciplinary Cluster team. Participate in discipline activities in order to enhance sustainable production geosciences capabilities.

Planning Prepare comprehensive documentation, presentations and workshops related to specific business plans, study work scopes or discipline content in relation to BHI.
People • Ensure BHI competence across PDO increases in a sustainable way, by providing training, mentoring, and coaching to the PP&PG community.
• Ensure BHI knowledge transfer between PDO assets, other OUs in the Shell Group and the Industry; identify best practices and advocate the implementation of these.
• Become recognized as the BHI Subject Matter Expert (SME) within the Shell Group and globally. Represent PDO in the Regional Focal Point forum.
• Coach skill/mastery capability in UDR and community
• Identify PP/PG staffs that show a keen interest in developing their in-depth BHI interpretation skills. Potential future Technical Specialists should be earmarked for succession.
