Job purpose Execute Business Development assigned tasks under the Head of Business Development – Low Carbon Molecules seeking to develop new business opportunities to drive growth and profitability. The position will act in accordance with the Group’s Mission, Vision, Values & Strategies, as well as, policies, guidelines, and international standards, supported by an IT Technology platform, HSE standards, Omani’s government & other legal justifications, and best international practices in consonance with national objectives. |
Main tasks and responsibilities - Support in progressing opportunities identified by Strategy and Planning Team into projects.
- Perform long-term forecasting and market analysis.
- Set short/long term business plan based on priorities set for Business Development activity in Green Molecules
- Develop and implement risk management strategy.
- Support in monitoring and maintaining contacts with stakeholders.
- Participate in strategy and budget development.
- Prepare project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
- To participate and lead financial modelling analysis including economic valuations and scenario assessments, liaising with Finance & Strategy where necessary (e.g., with Project Finance)
- Take leading roles in execution of acquisition/ divestment activities on valuation, due diligence, documentation and day to day process management.
- Participate in building internal and external networks to seek investment opportunities for OQ AE
- Research and generate ideas for investments including searching for optimization and integration opportunities

Education requirements | Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or an energy-related field, engineering, policy, legal, finance, economics, or other related field. |
Language requirements | Excellent knowledge of written, read, and spoken English (required) or Arabic - Native (desirable) |
Background and experience | Competencies and skills |
- 8+ years’ experience in energy business development, experience in chemicals or downstream is a plus.
- Economic and Business knowledge required.
- Demonstrable financial modelling experience
- Experience in stakeholder management and presentations to Executive Leadership
