Job Purpose:
• Manage the Maintenance contractor in the field.
• Plan & execute tasks based on discussion with Sr. Maintenance & Metering Engineer
• Supervise the work being done by the contractor.
• Ensure safe and effective maintenance activities.
• Maintain PM and CM records for all equipment and safeguarding elements.
• Manage and supervise ARA maintenance technicians of different disciplines.
Responsibilities, Accountabilities, Job Activities:
• Ensure compliance of maintenance team (mechanical, instrument, electrical and civil) with ARA E&P QHSE rules, policies, procedures & regulations.
• Manage all planned and unplanned maintenance activities for all technical disciplines in planning and execution within the ARA E&P assets process facility and with high contribution to safety, production performance, high-quality work and use of world best standards and practices.
• Responsible for managing the Maintenance team to maintain and repair the wide array of operating equipment in the Field safely and effectively.
• Manage the preventative and corrective maintenance activities and ensure deliveries in a safe and timely manner.
• Ensure all PM and CM activities of well heads and surface equipment are recorded and carried out using SAP PPM system.
• To improve equipment reliability and maintain a safe operating and make any necessary adjustments to the Job Plans and Safety Plans.
• Supervise projects for calibration, installation, commissioning, and check the contractor’s work as per P&ID provided. Also get involved in any project related to metering, work with vendors and subcontractors as required.
• Manage the daily maintenance activities in the field.
• Along with Sr. Maintenance Engineer ensure all activities are carried out within the contract ACV by monitoring expenditures; identifying variances; implementing corrective actions.
• Ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective maintenance activities through proactive management of maintenance teams.
• Assure part availability of critical spare equipment for PM and CM of maintenance activities by working closely with Sr. Maintenance Engineer based in Muscat office.
• Liaise with other departments such as Engineering, Drilling, Procurement and Contract, whenever their activity interferes with maintenance activities.
• Ensure that executed maintenance jobs and inspections are documented, verified, signed and filed.
• Promote and coordinate implementation and growth of reliability and other continuous improvement processes such as RCA (Root Cause Analysis), PMO (Preventive Maintenance Optimization), AOC (Asset Overall Conditions), etc.
• Train and deploy the maintenance team to take effective action for maintaining equipment in a safe and reliable manner via written job procedures, required materials, and energy control.
Key Challenges:
• Work closely with Production, HSE, Logistic and Engineering Departments
• Monitor the performance of the various units within in the field and maintain the asset reliability and integrity.
• Establish communication with vendors and third parties when required.
Reporting:
• To schedule and review the agreed planned maintenance activities and produce weekly frozen plans. Pro-actively ensure that the SAP PPM maintenance schedule is adhered to.
• To provide input to the 30 days and 90 days operational activity plan.
• Make sure that all maintenance field reports are signed and uploaded In SAP or N-drive (depending on activity).
• The Maintenance supervisors are expected to support the office team when needed to support the execution of specific jobs.
