About the Company

Petroleum Development Oman is the leading exploration and production company in the Sultanate of Oman. The Company delivers the majority of the country's crude oil production and natural gas supply

Purpose of the Job

To drive improvement of availability, reliability of surface equipment to reduce facility deferment and maintenance costs.

Education & Experience

1.   Bachelor's degree in the engineering discipline (B.Eng) or equivalent.
2.    Minimum 7 years’ working experience in operations or maintenance of which a significant portion has been spent in the reliability discipline.
3.    Skill level in the facilitation of Causal Learning Investigation (CLI).
4.    Experience in reviewing and improving process, deployment of change management initiatives such as Asset Management System, Operation, Maintenance and Reliability Excellence.
5.    Skill leval in Maintenance and Reliability Best Practice, QA/QC Inspection and Reliability Analysis process. 
6.    Experience in the use of Reliability Engineering tools, including RCM, Equipment criticality analysis, Life Data Analysis (Weibull), Reliability Block Diagram (RBD), RAM Modelling using MAROS, Reliability growth analysis, FRACAS and others. 
7.    Knowledge of the Asset Management System (AMS) Process in the industry and its’ process inter dependencies between different the work processes specifically relating to Maintenance Execution (ME), Manage Equipment Care (MEC), Manage Threats & Opportunities (MTO), Ensure Safe Production (ESP), Wells Reservoir & Facilities Management (WRFM) etc.

Main Responsibilities

1.    Responsible to facilitate and coordinate Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) and Preventative Maintenance Optimization (PMO) studies.
2.    Responsible to identify Reliability Issue in the Asset Cluster and Directorate and identify gabs closure to improve plant performance at optimal level.
3.    Lead the Asset Clusters or Directorate in developing and establishing a fit for purpose Reliability Strategies.
4.    Responsible to lead and establish RCM KPI measures at AMS dashboard to improve the facility and equipment uptime and reduce unscheduled deferment, maintenance execution and unit operating cost.
5.    Support asset operation and maintenance integrity (M&I) in project in understanding the requirement of MEC (Maintenance Optimizations) during project operation phase.  
6.    Responsible to participate in EPST or support High-Profile Causal Learning Investigation (CLI) in the Assets or Directorates.
7.    Responsible to identify and drive the implementation of key new technology that can be implemented to improve reliability and maintenance performance.
8.    Support AMS Assurance process implement across department and organization level.

Challenges
1.    Drive change through influence rather than line reporting relationships. 
2.    Design and implement a change management strategy for spare parts management.
3.    Align fragmented maintenance and C&P practices building on the AMS implementation.
4.    Create an environment which challenges existing practices and select the most appropriate ones favorable for the project objectives.
