Job purpose Execute Instrument Maintenance Works for the Operated Assets Maintenance MGP, under delegated authority and direction from MGP E&I Supervisor as Technical Service provider of maintenance and execution of minor projects, modifications in accordance with the technical standards to maintain the assets through: (1) Maintenance instrument, analyzer and DCS services on planned / un-planned maintenance works utilizing best practice. (2) Coordination and supervision of assets and maintenance work in the designated area, (3) Implement plans and coordinate instrument maintenance works; in order to ensure plant equipment availability, reliability & optimization of cost / resources while facilitating smooth operations of the plant to meet operational targets. The position will act in accordance with the Group’s Mission, Vision, Values & Strategies, as well as, policies, guidelines, and standards, supported by an IT Technology platform, HSE standards, Omani’s government & other legal justifications, and best international practices in consonance with national objectives. |
Main tasks and responsibilities - Responsible for maintenance of Controls systems DCS, PLC Control Logix, HMI/SCADA, Analyzers maintenance and Field instrumentations.
- Responsible for maintenance of field, RO related analyzers and gas chromatography.
- Responsible for maintenance flow measurement/ Metering systems & skid proving, Validation and Omni flow computers.
- Participation in Instrumentation responsibilities on project implementation in MGP facilities.
- Perform the Preventive Maintenance (PM) plan with backlogs within his section along with work backlogs work orders.
- Responsible for participating in Management of Change (MOC) committee review meetings.
- Ensure Instrument equipment maintenance history & reports are updated in SAP (CMMS)
- Responsible for identifying critical issues, repetitive failure. Recommendations implemented for the area.
- Prepares spare parts coding and performs technical evaluations on bids.
- Directs, supervises, and controls all MGP work for DCS, Analyzers and instruments maintenance and calibration.
- Maintains technical expertise in functional areas of process instrumentation.

Education requirements | Diploma in Instrumentation, Control system, Electrical, Electronics or related. |
Language requirements | Excellent knowledge of written, read, and spoken English (required) Arabic - Native (desirable) |

Diploma degree with 2+ years of relevant experience Both: - Knowledge of maintenance processes
- Knowledge of instrument control loops.
- Familiar with Systems, Applications and Products in data processing (SAP).
- Experience on Local control station/ Plant interface bus and DCS.
- Good knowledge of modern maintenance technologies & maintenance Planning and execution of Instrumentation Equipment Analysers, Calibrations, control systems, ESDs Experience and knowledge in project planning, cost control, contract development, installation, trouble shooting, and start-up.
- Sound judgment in technical matters with good skills in engineering field materials specifications and international standards.
- Good experience in handling of Maintenance Contracts and shutdown related jobs.
- Knowledge of:
- Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
- Expertise in SAP- PM
- Process Equipment Life-Cycle Management
- Good knowledge in Quality Assurance, Quality Control and HSE plans.
- Familiar with techniques for ensuring data integrity with various integration of information/ reports
- Knowledgeable in HSE plans related to maintenance activities.
- Understanding of Process (P&IDs / PFDs) & Engineering drawings and OEM manuals.
