Bachelor Degree in Instrumentation, Electrical, Mechatronics, C&A or Telecom (BEng or equivalent), The candidate must have at least 10 years of appropriate and relevant Oil & Gas Industry experience covering the main aspects of the Control & Automation discipline, combined with advanced working knowledge of process control, instrumented protection and field instrumentation engineering. Conversant with all relevant international and Group procedures and standards. The position requires a mix of in-depth theoretical knowledge combined with practical engineering, construction and maintenance experience with instrument and control systems. Sound knowledge of the latest technology developments is required along with a willingness to initiate and drive this new technology throughout PDO. Competencies as per Engineering CBP templates and matrices. As the custodian of the IPF methodology, the candidate shall be fully conversant with the IPF methodology. The incumbent should have a strong power of analysis, a strong problem-solving capability and a proven record of business sense, on the basis of which opportunities can be identified for profitable, cost-effective optimisation of automation control facilities. The candidate will need to be highly motivated and energetic; a natural team player and able to motivate and pass-on knowledge to less experienced staff.
