الوصف الوظيفي

Responsible for performing tests and reporting results to the Head of Lab (MCL) and eventually to the medical officer for use in diagnosis, treatment and monitoring treatment of diseases. Independent judgment, professional education and certificate of training is required. As well as performing own designated tasks, this position deputises the Head during absences.The holder of the job provides accurate, timely and cost effective testing of varieties of patients' samples in compliance and harmony with quality management system. The scope of the Lab Technician's job extends to Public Health services such as water testing for bacteriolgy, when required.

- A Batchelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or Diploma in medical laboratory - At least 3 years experience in a mulitidisciplinary medical laboratory Challenges: - To promote effective working relationships and working effectively as part of the department to facilitate department's ability to meet its goals and objectives... - To relate to people, a capacity for calm reasoned judgement and a demonstration of commitment to the patient. - To work independently to produce reliable lab reports and have ability to accurately interprate the results to aid medical officers in their treatment of patients.
