Job Description

Total Process Reliability Engineer (Mechanical) will be responsible for increasing the run time of all operating equipment within the Mukhaizna Field.  This objective will be accomplished by understanding the equipment operating conditions, performing Root Cause Failure Analyses and improving the preventive maintenance procedures and schedules for operational equipment.  Part of the job function will be to document the basis of equipment preventive maintenance cycles, procedures and respective impact to corrective maintenance within SAP. Pumps, motors, instrumentation, fired equipment, vessels, piping, valves, electrical and instrumentation systems, water, oil and steam processes.  The Total Process Reliability Engineer (Mechanical) will also assure compliance with Company policies, procedures, and guidelines. 

Total Process Reliability Engineer (Mechanical) responsibilities include but not limited to: 

  • Conduct and document root cause failure analyses on all equipment failures.

  • Study and validate operating conditions for all equipment to ensure fitness for purpose.

  • Become an expert with SAP software in preventive maintenance (PM), corrective maintenance (CM), root cause failure analysis (RCFA), and condition monitoring functions.

  • Assist in establishing all equipment PM procedures and call-up frequencies in SAP [CMMS]. 

  • Review facilities’ equipment job plans and revise them as needed according to equipment OEM recommendations.

  • Assist in coordinating critical and consumable inventory levels and forecast consumption.

  • Provide feedback to other teams on equipment and parts reliability based on TPR analysis.

  • Track activity to optimize the ratio of PMs to CMs.

  • Conduct technical analysis for facilities equipment components to identify potential failures in advance and provide appropriate planned corrective actions.

  • Maintain the high reliability of the operating units and processing systems.

  • Develop and lead RCFA investigations.

Skills Required

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering preferably in Mechanical maintenance, Reliability Engineering.

  • Minimum of 7 Hands-on experience with predictive and preventive maintenance techniques.

  • Familiarity with equipment lifecycle management and reliability-centered maintenance (RCM).

  • Strong mechanical aptitude, including knowledge of rotating equipment, hydraulics, pneumatics, and lubrication systems.

  • Proficiency in using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) to track and manage maintenance activities.

  • Knowledge of TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) principles and practices.

  • Familiarity with condition monitoring techniques, such as vibration analysis, thermography, and oil analysis.

  • Understanding of reliability metrics, such as MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures) and MTTR (Mean Time to Repair).

  • Proven track record of performing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implementing reliability improvement measures.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross-departmental coordination.

  • Ability to handle complex projects with multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
