Job Description
• Ensure company HSE policies, standards and regulations are understood and followed at all times to achieve the highest level of HSE. • Promote electrical safety in the field and act as a certifying body for the electrical authorization system. • Ensure power supply quality is within the permitted limits and furthermore improve the quality to achieve the best results. • Ensure daily power operations are carried out as per the day to day activities and logs are updated. • Maintain high power plant integrity by ensuring all planned maintenance activities are carried out as per the target annual program and all records are updated. • Act as CSR for the O&M contract, ensuring the contractor is complying with the contract terms and conditions and produce periodic performance and KPI reports to contract holder. • Review and analyze the existing O&M procedures and practices and where possible submit MOC to improve power station safety in line with process safety management. • Review and approve electrical power system protection settings and ensure the protection system is adequate to protect personal and system. • Participate in-and witness projects, pre commissioning and commissioning activities for the power station and field electrical projects, extension, and modifications as and when requested by management and produce punch list for follow up. • Carry out and lead various emergency drills to enhance power plant staffs actions and responses time as part of readiness and continues HSE improvements. • Ensure all power plant records, files, logs, procedure, manuals, drawings…etc updated and organized. • Promote in house training and self-training to enhance power plant staffs HSE, admin and technical knowledge as part of competency frame work program.
Skills Required
Minimum Academic Qualifications: • BSc in an Engineering Electrical or Mechanical Discipline Minimum Work experience: • At Least 12 years of experience in power system operations, maintenance & Engineering, including at least 6 years in a leadership/supervisory position. • Strong interpersonal skills with the demonstrated ability to interact with multi-disciplined teams including Operations, Facilities Engineering, Construction, and Management Teams • Broad range of HSE, Power operational, maintenance, Process Safety experiences • Establishing and driving quality data reporting practices to deliver meaningful Key Performance Indicator • High voltage certified Electrical Person • Ability to lead operation and maintenance activities
