Job Description
• Well & Reservoir Surveillance – Develop and execute effective well and reservoir surveillance programs, including operational QC, data interpretation, and cased-hole logging analysis (cement evaluation, PLT, corrosion logs, etc.).
• Well Performance Optimization – Demonstrate mastery in inflow/outflow analysis and troubleshooting across various reservoir and well configurations.
• Integrated Production Modelling – Model integrated production systems using PETEX (or similar) software, with strong proficiency in GAP, PROSPER, and PVTP.
• Define and govern CCED’s PT technical standards, review and approve critical deliverables.
• Lead alignment between subsurface, drilling, operations, and facilities to ensure holistic assets development.
• Participate in steering PT community, influencing stakeholders, and resolving escalations.
• Ensure HSSE is embedded in PT workflow (barrier management, perforation policies)
• Technology Evaluation & Deployment – Assess emerging technologies, select and implement solutions to improve performance in waterflooded fields, tight clastics, fractured carbonates, and heavy oil environments.
• Completion Design & Assurance – Ensure well completion designs are mechanically and operationally fit-for-purpose throughout the well’s life. Review completion programs for compliance with CCED policies and guidelines.
• Well Integrity Management – Review, update, and enforce CCED’s Well Integrity & Perforation Policy. Monitor subsurface integrity tests and address integrity issues promptly.
• Shut-In Well Management – Maintain and track the shut-in well inventory, ensuring Further Use Proposals (FUP) are in place and updated annually.
• Artificial Lift Optimization – Ensure optimal selection and deployment of artificial lift systems for low-oil producers and high-GOR wells.
• Project Support – Provide technical input to well projects (workovers, new wells, P&A) during the visualization, conceptualization, and definition stages.
• Cost & Efficiency Control – Monitor completion operations to control costs, minimize downtime, and achieve best-in-class performance.
• Hydraulic Fracturing Optimization – Support the design and optimization of hydraulic sand-propped fractures for tight-oil developments.
• Material Selection & Technology Advisory – Advise on material selection and completion technology as part of integrated field development planning.
• HSSE Integration – Embed HSSE best practices in all completion, production, and field development activities.
• Knowledge Sharing & Assurance – Participate in peer assists, provide assurance on Field Development Plans, and mentor junior PTs to build a strong technical community.
