Job Description
The Supply Chain Manager is accountable for the planning and execution of all contracting and procurement activities in a project (or a portfolio of smaller projects) in accordance with Project requirements, making the best use of the actual and potential markets, and the application of standard processes, systems and controls. The scope of this position covers all contracts in Oman during the development and execution phase. This involves a complex portfolio of larger and smaller contracts from the Assess phase till project completion. The complexity is driven by implementation of multiple overlapping phases of the project where design, fabrication and implementation takes place in multiple wells. Uncertainties resulting from working in a less well understood environment and subsurface conditions of the field, add to the complexity.
Skills Required
Business or Engineering degree, or equivalent-Mastery of Supply Chain professional competencies-Understanding of strategic, technical, legal, finance, taxation and commercial issues, able to cope with complexity and uncertainty-At least 15 years relevant experience in E&P especially-Possesses valid driving license-Skilled in computer aided operations, maintenance and communication systems (DCS, SAP and office)-Good oral and written Technical English capability (communication skills)-Comprehensive understanding of Contracting and Logistics in a major project context-Detailed knowledge of project drivers in define through execute phases-Creative thinker capable of developing innovative solutions and a motivated self-starter with a track record of delivery-Applied knowledge of effective local content development.
