About the Company

Petroleum Development Oman is the leading exploration and production company in the Sultanate of Oman. The Company delivers the majority of the country's crude oil production and natural gas supply.
 

Purpose of the Job

Responsible for supporting DEP Process Discipline Team, ensuring deliverables meet Technical requirements, Quality Assurance, Schedule and Cost requirements and Implement Standardization. Practice LEAN and continuous improvements.

Education & Experience

  • Engineering Degree and Certification as a Process or Chemical or equivalent experience.

         Minimum 10 years industry experience in Process engineering positions on Oil & Gas industry.

         Fully versed with Process principles, techniques and industry standard software and standards.

    • Site and detail design experience
    • Meets Minimum requirements of Technical Authority of TA-2 in Process discipline
    • Knowledge of HSE and AIPSM.
    • Ability to think strategically and link the company-wide targets to individual facilities.
    • Excellent data analysis skills to identify what are the key levers for improvement.
    Highly analytical, with track record of strong verbal and written communication
  • Dimensions: PDO Capital Project turnover - $ 500 mln (Shared with PD).

         Critical Interfaces:

           Internal : Project managers, Project delivery teams, FEED office, Asset & Engineering support teams, Construction teams, ORA and Commissioning teams, IM team.

          External : Engineering and construction Contractors

Main Responsibilities

  • Ensure adherence to company HSE & AI-PSM requirements.
  • Ensure compliance to discipline engineering standards, work processes, systems and tools.
  • Continually seeks new ways of working to improve performance and value delivery.
  • Attend value Engineering, Design Reviews, HAZOP reviews, 3D Model review, Plot plan, HFE, constructability review, etc. for all projects.
  • Carry out appropriate discipline and inter discipline checks and reviews of engineering and design .
  • Implement standardization and continuous improvement initiatives with Respective discipline.
  • Review Engineering Cost, Time and Resource (CTR) and deliverable list for projects.
  • Review and approve Respective discipline deliverables from Consultants and vendors e.g. Datasheets, equipment specifications, drawings.
  • Capture Lesson Learned of executed projects and participate in project Lessons Learned workshop.
  • Provide technical support for projects in construction & CSU phases and answering site queries and approving as-built drawing.
  • Identify the requirement and represent Company in factory Acceptance Test (FAT) and Pre-inspection Meeting when required.
    • Participate in Pre-Startup Audits (PSUA) and provide required support to ensure statement of fitness (Sof) completion. 
    • Review Technical Bid Evaluation (TBE) and review Technical queries (TQ) raised during TBE stage.
    • Provide assurance review to Technical HSE for DEM-1, DEM-2 and AI-PSM lesson learned compliance checklist.
