Job Description

  • Job Purpose To lead the field execution of Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) construction activities for ARA E&P projects, ensuring compliance with project specifications, HSE standards, and operational requirements. The role focuses on onsite supervision of flowlines, well pads, fiscal metering skids (FMS)..etc, and associated E&I systems, from installation to handover.  
  • Position within the Organizational Structure Reports to: Construction Team lead Key Interfaces: Internal: Engineering, HSE, Operations, Maintenance External: EPC Contractors, Vendors, Inspection Authorities. Supervisory Responsibility: E&I technicians, contractors, and subcontractors.
  • Main Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Construction Supervision & Field Execution:
    • Oversee installation, testing, and pre-commissioning of:
      • Flowlines, well pads, and fiscal metering skids (FMS)..etc.
      • Electrical systems: Hazardous area wiring (CompEx), switchgear, transformers, solar/UPS.
      • Instrumentation: Field instrument devices Flow/pressure/temperature devices, control valves, FMS compliance.
o    Ensure adherence to P&IDs, loop diagrams, and electrical schematics.
o    Follow up on Well Pad, Access Road and Construction.
o    Follow up on Flowline / hook up construction.
o    Ensure Well hook up is ready before Rig move out.

II.   Technical Compliance & Quality:
o    Review method statements, ITPs, and as-built documentation (API, IEC, ISA standards).
o    Resolve field discrepancies (e.g., design vs. execution) with engineering teams.

III. HSE Leadership
o    Enforce PTW systems, Life Saving Rules, and Process Safety Rules.
o    Conduct safety audits and toolbox talks.
o    Ensure jobs are executed with minimum environmental impact.

IV. Project & Contractor Management:
o    Monitor contractor performance, schedule, quality, and mitigate delays.
o    Ensure the implemented projects are commissioned as per design specification and is safely handed over to operation team.

V. Reporting & Handover:
o    Submit daily/weekly progress reports.
o    Ensure seamless handover to Commissioning/ Operation teams.  

Skills Required

  • Qualifications:
  • Education & Certifications §  Essential: Bachelor’s degree in electrical, Control, Instrumentation, or Electronics Engineering.
  • Experience §  5+ years in E&I construction supervision (upstream oil & gas). §  Preferably - Field experience with flowlines, well pads, Field instrumentations, Electrical systems (switchgear, transformers, solar/UPS..etc) and FMS installations.
  • Technical Skills: 
  • Knowledge of electrical/ Instrumentation design codes and safety standards.
  • Interpretation of P&IDs, hazardous area standards (ATEX/IECEx).
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems: switchgear, transformers, motors, UPS, solar systems and instrumentation devices: pressure, level, temperature, flow ..etc.


  • Soft Skills:
  • Fluent English; contractor management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Capable of providing technical training.
