Job Description

The On Job Trainer (OJT) will be responsible about the training program for Omani trainees and includes hands-on training, assessment and reporting.
The On Job Trainer responsibilities will include but not limited to:
  • Scheduling and conducting technical on job training in the field and classroom.
  • Work with Permits and Job Plans.
  • Conduct and report technical assessments.
  • Constantly monitor and revise programs to ensure relevance, practicality and suitability.
  • Ensure compliance with Duty of Care for all subordinates.
  • Bridge the gap where underdeveloped communication and learning skills are present by use of innovative training.
  • Work with other trainers and field personnel in a diverse cultural environment and remote location to provide timely delivery of training initiatives.
  • Interface with Training Coordinators to ensure problem areas have workable solutions.
  • Provide advice and guidance on all trade related HSE matters and ensure compliance.
  • Carry out classroom training for newly joined trainees for Underpinning Knowledge (UPK program).
  • Preparing necessary training material/handouts, presentation as required.
  • Maintain/update all classroom/OJT training record & KPI’s (Key Performance Indicator).

Skills Required

Other Job Details

  • College Diploma in technical profession or equivalent is preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Electrical or Instrumentation or Mechanical or Production or HES discipline/s.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in training related activities is preferred.
  • A1 Assessor certificate is a plus.
  • Good ability in application of assessment processes.
  • Good experience with classroom, flexible delivery and innovative training formats.
  • Have been involved in reviewing the curriculum of training course of program.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good in PC skills.
