Job Description

• Be the first point of contact in the company for all aspects of security.
• Develop Security Management Plans, access control policies and all necessary supporting security documentation for the area of operation.
• Conduct security risk assessments to support operations and security concepts.
• Develop and implement policies, procedures and risk mitigation measures.
• Oversee the development and implementation of security procedures and protocols, to ensure safe and secure access for all staff, contractors and visitors
• Ensure security compliance with Omani Law and ROP requirements.
• Be a contributing senior member of the Emergency Response Team when required.
• Regularly review staffing levels, policies, processes and procedures, suggesting revisions as appropriate.
• Responsible for all aspects of Security personnel management, ensuring that they are trained both for regular duties and in case of emergencies and alarms, and performance managed that all security staff work to the required standard.
• Control budgets and monitor expenses for security operations
• Ensure senior security staff are fully trained to investigate and suggest solutions for all breaches of security.
• Investigating all security breaches and suggesting / implementing practical remedies and required actions

Skills Required

• A University Degree qualification
• The position is one in which relevant experience in the military or armed police will be weighted heavily.
• A demonstrable deep understanding of the issues faced when ensuring the security and safety of all varied company facilities.
• Substantial experience in developing security policies and procedures as well as staff management is essential.
• The post-holder will need a thorough appreciation of all potential hazards and threats to safety and how to eliminate / minimize such risks.
• Maintain close contacts with all relevant internal and external stakeholders, building relationships with key players to ensure gathering of reliable, current security information.
• Remain current with developments and trends within the security industry

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Arabic and English.
• Being able to work with a team.
• Proven managerial experience and skills - in recruiting, developing training regimes, team building and staff motivation.
• Demonstrable ability to develop and implement appropriate security procedures.
• Demonstrable analytical and decision making skills.
• Detail oriented and proactive.
• Proven investigatory skills.
• Computer literate with a high level of competency in Microsoft Office.
