Education & Experience Required
Implementation of site security arrangements at all sites, ensuring that appropriate security standards are reached and maintained in line with BP Contractor Security requirements and OMS 3.5.
Full operational responsibility for planning, preparation, implementation and oversight of security operations including electronic access control and CCTV systems at all BP facilities.
Ensure security compliance with Omani law and ROP requirements.
Ensuring security compliance with Voluntary Principles on Security and Human Rights.
Operational command and control of the Site Security Supervisors.
Provide direct line management and mentorship to the field leads Supervisors.
Oversee the development and implementation of security procedures and protocols, to ensure safe and secure access for all staff, contractors and visitors.
Act as the key focal point for all BP facilities locations, providing oversight and guidance where needed.
Direct training, in consideration of the limited manpower and if safe to do so without impacting security operations.
Assess and evaluate the capability and performance of security guard services to ensure the highest levels of effectiveness and conduct security self-verification, in line with contractual Key Performance Indicators.
Develop and implement SOP’s to support the operation.
Develop Security Management Plans, access control policies and all necessary supporting security documentation for the area of operation.
Conduct security risk assessments to support operations and security concepts.
Develop and implement procedures and risk mitigation measures.
Develop contingency plans and where appropriate exercise these under direction of BP Oman Director of Security to an agreed annual exercise schedule.
Support the Emergency Response Team (ERT) when required.
Implement and ensure good communications at all levels and departments.
Ensure all incidents and accident reports are completed as per incident reporting system (IRIS).
Coordinate operational support to deployed assets, including incorporation of intelligence input prior to, and during tasks.
At least 10+ years exemplary service, in the military or armed police, reaching the rank of SNCO (or equivalent) or above.
History of working in a management position.
Ability to demonstrate a high level of diligence, initiative and accuracy with limited supervision.
Previous Oil and Gas security operations experience or similar.
Ability to speak and write, to near native levels, in English and Arabic.
Good level of general computer literacy and competency in Microsoft Office.
