About the Company

Petroleum Development Oman is the leading exploration and production company in the Sultanate of Oman. The Company delivers the majority of the country's crude oil production and natural gas supply.

Purpose of the Job

  • Standardization of coaching across all Discipline
  • Develop and Implement New Way of development with cost competitiveness 
  • Develop the Training courses in line with the new Company Transformation Pillars
  • Follow up Learning Needs across PE Disciplines including
  • Review the current Learning Programs and update where required

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant engineering discipline with a significant exposure across all PE diciplines
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in Oil and Gas Industry including People Development and Coaching  
  • Strategic personality with experience in building strategies of people development in Oil and Gas Industry 
  • Strong team leadership skills
  • Strong skills in new ways of learning and coaching 
  • Effective communication skills with customers, shareholders & contractors
  • Experienced & effective coach/mentor
  • Commercial mindset

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead the “Integrated Coaching Center”
  • Standardization across all Discipline coaching
  • Overseeing the PE Development programs and development.
  • Managing, and evaluating Developments programs to ensure a high standard of teaching & On Job Training
  • Strategic Planning: Developing and implementing long-term strategic plans for the building PE Capability
  • Budget Oversight: Managing the training budget, allocating resources efficiently
  • Industry Collaboration: Establishing and maintaining partnerships with industry stakeholders to enhance research, internships & On Job Training
  • Professional Development: Supporting PE staff in all disciplines in their professional growth through training, workshops, and conferences.
  • Work with CFDHs to align the PE development center’s vision, mission, values inline with PDO business
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Building and maintaining relationships with industry training professionals, and other stakeholders to strengthen the center's network and reputation.
  • Continuous Improvement: Leading efforts to assess and enhance the quality of academic programs and overall center’s  performance.
