Main tasks and responsibilities

Process Optimization: The systematic approach of analyzing data, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing changes to optimize production (improving efficiency and effectiveness) of various processes including distillation, cracking, hydrotreating, reforming, and blending, among others, to improve their performance by minimizing energy consumption, reducing operating costs, and maximizing production.

Process Control: Real-time monitoring, simulation, modelling, and data analytics to enable the identification process inefficiencies, reduce waste and emissions, and optimize the use of raw materials, energy, and other resources

Product Quality: Data analytics that aim to meet regulatory requirements for product quality in process installations, upgrades, and maintenance

Scope:

Olefin Cracker

Steam Cracker: Steam cracking furnaces to produce lighter alkenes (or commonly olefins), including ethene (or ethylene) and propene (or propylene).

Methyl Tertiary Butyl Ether (MTBE): Pyrolysis gasoline or Pygas production process

Utilities: Steam, Fuel,Various waters, air, electrical power, and sewers, Utilities Co-Generation Systems

NGLE:

Pre-treatment: Removing any impurities from the natural gas such as sulfur compounds, water, and other contaminants that can damage equipment or affect the quality of the natural gas liquids).

Compression: Natural gas is then compressed to increase its pressure and facilitate the separation of the natural gas liquids.

Refrigeration: The compressed natural gas is then cooled to low temperatures using refrigeration units. The cooling process causes the natural gas liquids to condense into a liquid state.

Separation: The natural gas liquids are then separated from the natural gas using a series of distillation towers. The distillation process separates the natural gas liquids into different fractions based on their boiling points.

Fractionation: The different fractions of natural gas liquids are then further processed through fractionation to separate them into their individual components such as ethane, propane, butane, and natural gasoline.

Product recovery: The final step in the NGLE process is product recovery. The individual components of the natural gas liquids are recovered, stored, and sent to downstream petrochemical plants for further processing.
